How did you learn "The facts of life"?

I must try it soon. Caugh caugh !

I recommend it.

I found that some of my darkest fantasys which I thought were indicative of mental depravity were in fact quite tame by comparison.

As a result I feel much better about myself.

I learned about the facts of life from older kids and school. And from certain magazines I found out in the woods by my house left by the neighbor boys.

I learned from older kids, too, and a medical book at the library. My mother never attempted to explain how it all worked; I think it would have embarrassed her terribly to have to do so. She was born in 1914 and was very Victorian about sex.

Same with my mother.

In our house it was like the old one liner.

I never had sex, I left all of that up to your father!

In my case, my Dad had that job, as it probably should be. I still remember when we had our (sex) talk. I think Dad was more nervous that I was. I was 13 or 14 at the time and Dad and I were riding the train down to see the Philadelphia Phillies play a baseball game. He asked me what I knew about having sex. I told him probably just enough to be dangerous. Yeah, that made him smile. I also remember that the talk didn't take very long.
