Im just amazed that in 2013 1.4 MILLION cell phones were lost.
how the heck does one lost a $200-300 phone?

I agree with you Davy I am always astounded at how careless people are with expensive phones..I've lost count of the folks who I know who have just put the phone down somewhere and no clue where they left it., or thrown it down without a care so the screen is smashed.

Never mind 200-300$ think more over $1,200 dollars which is what the iphone5 costs here, ÂŁ709 equates to $1,213.84USD

Have a look here at the sheer expense of these phones.. http://store.apple.com/uk/buy-iphone/iphone5s

I've only had one cellphone, a pre-paid Tracfone that I bought around 7 years ago, never lost it or broke it.

I'm back to Tracfone again too. :) . After trying Jitterbug out for a while, decided I didn't like the expense or the phone.

Never lost or had a phone stolen. I'm on my second Tracfone and I really like the one I have now. .. an LG with camera and super easy texting that I use often. (kids don't like to talk.:D) ...

Probably a lot of those expensive stolen phones are Smartphones. ..

I was thinking awhile back about upgrading to a Jitterbug, but after reading some negative reviews, and finding out it didn't have a particular feature (voice messaging?), I just stayed with my Tracfone. I have a lot of minutes, because I'm not a chatterbox, and I use it very little. Never have sent a text in my life. :p

I upgrade my length of time once a year .... I always seem to have a huge amount of minutes left over when I do that.
...oh well.

I did buy an annual card a couple of times, but found it was cheaper to just get the 60 minute 90 day cards for $20. Although it is more of a hassle to have to get a card every 3 months.

Obviously you don't have teens around you that much.:D
4 out of 5 calls to me are text, you should see me go on that phone keyboard.
