How Do I Post Images/Photos?

I have tried a number of times to post photos but I keep getting a message that says it failed because my photo does not have the proper ending . HUH ? I don't get it. Can any please explain ?

You won't be able to post any photos until you've made a certain number of posts or been a member for at least a week
