How do other people describe you?

I've been told I'm intimidating, by people who I've come to know me well enough to reminisce about their first impression of me. I have some trouble understanding why, because I am unfailingly friendly and chatty with folks, and work to put people at their ease, especially in social situations where I can see they're having a bit of trouble feeling relaxed.

I'm known for being forthright and honest. People tell me they always know where they stand with me, because of that trait.

Doubt anyone really knows. Just like me trying to describe someone else. Never lived their lives so I don't know. There are people who feel secure labeling others though. These always made me feel uncomfortable.

LOL, this is a question that totally depends on who is giving their opinion. Like anyone my age (77), I have had a lot of roles in my life. Someone standing in front of me when I served as head of a Court Martial Board is going to have a drastically different description of me than the individual I was helping while serving as a volunteer at the Red Cross. I am afraid that descriptions of me will be all over the map, and other than being mildly amused by some of them, I suppose that I really don't much care.

I've had some comments over the years that I was very nice, kind to creatures, etc. Don't hear many people describing me. I would say I was pretty mellow with a good sense of humor....hubby thinks so too...but he doesn't really count. 🙃

Pretty sure that was just a tongue in cheek comment 😉
I had to look that one up. No, not really as husbands and wives know the best and sadly the worst that we have to offer, if he or she honestly gives you a passing score than you're golden. IMO - my wife is a true celestial being.

I might of wanted people to like me when I was younger....I really don't care at my age...
I mostly am with my husband and children....I have some friend's....We are all getting old....
We use to get together every Christmas time....3 of my friends, if I am home, will go out for lunch...But not too often...
About 5 of my girlfriend's still have husband's....We are pretty lucky, We lost our loving friend a couple of years ago...
She was the first to leave us....We all worked together for 25 years....(I get sad writing this)…..
