How do you delete unused drafts when using the quote message procedure

When I quote a message and then post it into the message an old one appears too ( to someone else about different subject in a different thread. ) I try to backspace it out, and have tried the delete it with the options icon..but it does not work. Does someone know how to disappear them?

Did you try using that little draft icon to the left of the preview button? The dropdown arrow has a delete choice. You may have to leave the thread and return to see if it was removed. I think I tried it once and it worked.

@Paco Dennis If you just click the Reply link, the original text will show up in the new message space. You can then highlight, make bold or italicize, etc. what ever text you want noticed. You also can cut, copy and paste sections of the original post, as you wish. If you click Quote, a copy of the message is placed in your clipboard, or computer's memory. Then it gets pasted in the new message as well as the reply. Try lust clicking reply. That's what I did with your message below this.

But to delete the above, in the grey box, highlight the text and then click delete. The name will still be there but if you backspace two more times, it will be deleted too.

Text has been deleted, two more backspaces will delete the name and this grey area.

Well I just quoted your message, and the problem is gone. If it happens again I will use what you said. Thanks much.
