How do you get up in the morning?

My wife's an early riser. She brings me a coffee and muffin or donut around 8:30. That gets me started and I usually stagger out and start my day.

She reminds me of how often, when I was working, that I'd bring her a coffee as I headed out the door. In those days she was a "stay at home" wife with 4 little ones all born within a span of 6 years.

The time I get up in the morning depends on what time I go to bed. Whatever time it is, as soon as my eyes open, I'm a little ray of sunshine. I head to the bathroom to make myself presentable, just in case I run into someone on the way to the mailbox. I don't want to be responsible for scaring anyone to death. Then I make breakfast, drink coffee, and contemplate ways to take over the world. 🙂

My wake time varies but is generally well before 10A.M. regardless of the time I went to bed.

My alarm clock, the boy dog, sounds like urgent BARKING and ROOoo-ing !!! that can not be ignored.
"No" or "Lay down" often works as a snooze button but not always reliably.

Mason has a pet door and comes and goes as he pleases. Not sure why he demands I be up.
Except it involves treats for going out and coming back in ... or maybe because it involves eats and treats.

Once up as demanded, I never go back to bed or even nap at Fort Sofa ... except sometimes in the afternoon.

Oh. Pinky and the Brain. Good morning to you.

I have a cup or two of coffee at midnight while reading or watching TV. I haven't been able to fall asleep before midnight for some time now. I don't get enough sleep. By morning (after I've finally fallen asleep for a bit of time) I have no choice but to get up to run to the bathroom.
