How do you like the climate where you live?

We have four seasons in my state but if you want true winter you’ve got to drive a couple of hours.

I actually like our climate a lot. I like temps in the 60’s and 70’s and that is mostly what we have year around though occasionally the dog’s water bowl will ice over. Temps above 90 are as rare as freezes. In coastal California we mostly have just three seasons: wet, dry and fire. The wet season is rarely long enough and the dry season is too long. Fire season is usually around October, is where smoke from elsewhere in our state or Oregon darkens the sky and sometimes rains ash. It is a new season and less predictable. Not much this year but the last few were bad.

I love fall 🍁 and I like winter ☃️. I enjoy spring 🌷 but it's too short. Now summer... there we have a problem because when it gets into the mid 70s, 80s, 90s, and sometimes beyond, I feel totally miserable so I only tolerate summer 🔥☀️. Love that we have all four seasons here, but if I could make summer a few months shorter and fall a few months longer, I'd be really happy. :giggle:

You nailed it, I am a fall, winter and spring lover but once we get over 80-85 degrees I prefer to stay in the air conditioning. I do get out early and late to tend to things I have planted, mostly a few veggies that grow well here. That would include tomatoes, squash and okra. It is more of a hobby, I give most of it to neighbors and family. I just like to watch things grow and produce. I find it something my grandson likes to do with me. I let him plant and then he is all in to check his plants when he is over.

I’ve grown appreciative of the 4 seasons that we have here in Maryland although winter is my least favorite. I love to be outdoors and I’m cold in winter. I don’t care much for the hurricanes that we sometimes get here since we live on the water but thankfully, we’ve only had to evacuate once. Fingers crossed!

I love Maryland. I had family there but they have all passed now. Maryland was the best part of my childhood. I was only there in the summer so have no idea how hard a winter could be. My family lived waterfront on the Wicomico river. It was paradise to me. There was always fishing, crabbing, swimming, boating. What body of water are you close to?

Actually I like the climate here, my only complaint would be too much rain, during
that season, otherwise I love the seasons, I can though complain when it is too
hot, too cold, so with that said, I am excited for Spring and it has just sprung :)

Hasn't it been weird? That is the word i find many of our fellow New Mexicans using. It is wetter than usual, temps have been going up and down in odd ways. So far none of our usual Thunderstorms up here near Jemez Ridge but some days we've had sun, rain, sleet and snow (sometimes with sun between each switch) all in same day. And mud worse than usual.
Did you have a drought last year. If you did will there be an improvement for you because of all the precipitation? Mud couldn't be good?

Generally dry here. We needed the moisture. The mud is a big nuisance but actually better for the eco system if the most of the water sinks into ground, pours into irrigation ditches instead of evaporating the next day as often happens in spring. Good for my farming neighbors.

I am located directly at the shores of Northumberland Straight. Facing P.E.I. The sea is about half an hour's walk away from my apartment!

Summer is the only good season, in my opinion. Summers here are nice (sometimes hot, but not humid) and fairly long.

No real Spring or Fall, which is fine with me.

The winters are really cold. But believe it or not, "really cold" is more comfortable than "kinda cold." @Lee and some others will know what I'm talking about.

So the weather here is pretty good, considering.

Living where we live now I stepped up a zone to 1 1/2 zones which means I can grow more types of things. Winters aren’t as sunny here and prefer the weather where we used to live better than here. It’s a give and take transition

In Reno we have a mild 4 seasons. I lived in Wisconsin for 32 years and now winter is too cold and summer too humid. This winter was unusual and we have had a lot of snow. Normally my winter coat is a sweater.
All that snow that your area got must have been a blessing in disguise We also read that water levels were at an all time low at the Hoover Dam as well as the Colorado River. So this winter just past must have been a blessing to many of you, especially to those living in California ... if the snow doesn't melt too fast.

In the summer yes. In the winter no. If we did not have wife’s parents, kids and grandkids living nearby, we would move. I think Southwest WI would be nice as we would still get 4 seasons as opposed to one major season (winter) and 3 tiny ones. Record breaking snow this year!

I spent well over a year in southern Cuba, GTMO. It was 80+ F in the day, 72 at night-day after day after day. I really missed the seasons changing. And when you think about it, the seasons last only 90 days each, so they're always changing.
