How do you prefer your chicken parts

It depends on how I want to use the chicken. I love the skin so I always buy it that way.
One thing I won't do is bone a chicken. I got a fantastic buy on chickens a few years ago. I think I even posted it here at the time,anyway I boned them all. I Cooked up all the chicken frames, separated the parts for meals and wrapped them all for the freezer.
I was at it for days,chicken guts all over the place.
I now have a new respect for the butcher. I'll never do it again.
I don't understand. You didn't cook the chicken first and then bone the cooked meat off of it?
 

I prefer skin on and bone in...but I eat boneless, skinless chicken thighs.

I do think if you want flavor you need the bone in at least.

Since I’m trying to gain weight I should get the ones with skin but old habits are hard to break.
 

Depends on the recipe. I love whole roasted chicken, but last night we had chicken cacciatore and it was delightful.
