How do you pronounce this surname??

Pronounce it very slooooooowly .. She just wants to make sure she never gets a ticket. If the cops stop her, they'll take one look at that name on her license and say .. 'ok .. just a warning this time, go on your way' ...:)

My late husband was a Cop and any name they couldn't pronounce they classified it as a Wheelbarrow

I feel bad for saying this, but that name borders on ridiculous. Can you even imagine how many problems and the length of time involved over the years with a name like that? I would have changed it asap just to make life easier. I think Keihan would be a good name to shorten it too. I could never put my kids through the hassles they would encounter and the teasing they would get in school using the full name, nor would I be willing to go through it myself. I have enough problems with people pronouncing my ex-husband's last name, always have, and it's only 4 letters, but I'm still glad I kept it for the sake of my daughters.

Just having to sign checks would be enough for me!! Yes, I'd shorten it.
Good one, rkunsaw!! :)

Question: How many people, who claim "to live and let live", would demand she change her name?
I think it would be a wise decision to do so but I can understand one not wanting to.
Just think, we have too many Smiths, sumayouns gonna have to change so's we can getcha allinna computor.
I wounder how many characters would it take in the original language. Five or six?

I'm a big fan of live and let live, Sid, and my live part would not want me to have to write her last name as mine more than one time, never mind the multi-gazillion hrs spelling & respelling it. Life is too short. I'm an even bigger fan of making life easier and the time I spend with a rather unusual 4 letter last name makes me envy the surname of Smith. :)

Whenever one of my grandma's couldn't remember somebody's name she would call them, "you know, Mrs. Whosidinkle.", pronounced. who ze dinkle, to this day I still use that for a name I can't remember or pronounce.

Well anyway that Hawaiian name is a mouth full, but good for the woman, we get pushed around enough as it is. Stand your ground honey!
