How do you think?

My wife & I process/respond to information/stimuli differently. It seems she is more structural in her thoughts and actions than I am. Whereas I go with the flow by responding to stimuli as it occurs in life.

My wife worries about future possibilities and events while I am not worrier of things that may or may not occur in life. I think about what is here and now, everything else has already happened or is speculation of what might happen.

My wife gets up at night because she thinks of something that she feels needs to be done while it's fresh on her mind. I usually sleep soundly through the night. However, if I wake up early, 5:00am or so, I am anxious and my mind is racing about a coming event.

Most things do not bother me unless I am tired or too much activity going on at the same time. If so, I will withdraw to preserve my strength, refuel and return to the activities. If I am overwhelmed by stress, I can be grouchy or snappy.

My wife and I understand each other. We give each other space to explore outside goals and activities based on trust. Our interests are similar, yet vastly different from each other. She enjoys gardening, making/fixing things, traditional Christian faith & beliefs, not a deep thinker.

I enjoy mental activities, spirituality, spiritual connections, yoga, philosophy, scuba diving, learning, windows/apple running systems, computer software and apps. I'm a risk taker, my wife is not.

How do you think? Are you worrier? Spontaneous? Are you Planner or do you go with the flow? Are things to you either black or white, right or wrong? What type of personality do you have?

Took the Myers-Briggs test about 20 years ago then a second time a couple of years after that. INTJ first time, ENTJ the second time. (Both time my introvert/extrovert scores were very close to the middle..) The results were not a surprise at all.
