When you spend 30 years in the military, you meet hundreds if not thousands of different people. There’s always a few that stick out in your memory for different reasons. There are 2 brothers that live outside of Salt Lake City. One of the bothers was a 1st Lieutenant who was in my charge that I put in command of a large platoon. The other brother also worked for me, but was a Sgt. that took the platoons through their medical challenges.
I guess 10 years ago, it’s been that long ago already, I received word telling me that he had passed away, so, I called the bother to give him my personal condolences. He then told me that he upped his insurance policy from $100,000 to $500,000, but Allstate made him take a new physical. It was then that he found out that he had some very rapid growth of a Lymphoma cancer that grew very quickly. He had been given a physical, including x-rays and blood tests on a Friday and received a letter from his doctor to call and make appointment with his office asap.
He went into see the the door on a Monday and died on the following Friday. I just received another letter from his brother 2 weeks ago written almost exactly the same as the first letter. I have decided to fly out to the funeral on Wednesday and, if for no other reason, to find out what went on. Don’t you think this is very peculiar? I need to know more about this. Also S&W was manufactured there in the 1980’s when the bothers both died.
I find this all very strange,
