How have the mosquitoes been in your area this season?

we moved from NC to southeast Illinois about 6 years ago...never heard of a buffalo gnat... they're awful here in spring ...early summer...leave a big whelt and itch..for weeks

We get sand flies bad, and those bites itch, burn, and look red for weeks on end.

I was just reading up on bug bites, and household white vinegar is supposedly ideal for neutralizing insect toxins.
