How have you acquired most of your wisdom?

I remember reading once that everyone is but a small child wandering upon the vast shores of knowledge. Every now and then finding a bright pebble of useful wisdom to navigate the future. Ironically, I suppose it takes a bit of wisdom to recognize wisdom and to understand how to integrate it and apply it. Music is nothing if the audience is deaf.

I have come to an understanding that there are different kinds of wisdom and it takes time to acquire them. That being said, I have also realized that wisdom isn't of much value if it's not passed on to the next generation. One thing I am fairly sure of is that it's not learned in a classroom.

I suppose it has been a combination of reading, experience, and reflection that has helped me grow in this area. There is so much to sift through to determine what is important and useful in life, and how much is just mind clutter. I am definitely a work in progress, but I am still searching for what wisdom has to teach me.
I don't think one gains shat from entertainment. So is it Anti society proved?

Well, I can only speak for myself here, but I have learned a great deal from entertainment such as movies and even song lyrics. There have been many lessons learned by characters in movies from "It's A Wonderful Life, Good Will Hunting, On Golden Pond, and even Star Wars".

In addition, I have found that often people who write songs have put a great deal of thought into the lyrics they write. A song can convey a message of wisdom that will stick with you. Anyway, it's just been my experience, so to each his own.

Just read one definition of Intelligence, "the ability to retain knowledge and using reasoning to solve problems."
Sounds to me a lot like 'Wisdom'.

Plan to upgrade my phone to use AI and a new laptop, when AI is avalible.
I'll have 'wisdom' at my fingertips.

I'm not being flip, I'm being serious.

I heard it once said that knowledge is no more wisdom than 50 tons of cement is a skyscraper.
We are literally drowning in knowledge that has been acquired over the centuries, and yet the wisdom of mankind is more like an oasis in the desert.

It’s amazing how much knowledge and wisdom we lose with the passing of every generation.

We seem to learn more from our own experiences than we learn from the hard won wisdom of our parents and grandparents.

“Learn from the mistakes of others, you can't live long enough to make them all yourselves!”

Nobody has time to gain emotional maturity, all the kids are busy planning their first million, and the rat race is on.
