How i pray

Being I am a Secular Humanist I really do not pray like believers do. When asked to pray for a mutually ill friend or family member I will think positive thoughts about their disease or illness. When wishing courage, forebearance or strength for my self, I will again think positive thoughts and visualize my self with strength and courage in mental role play. Mental Role Playing is powerful, but caution!!! Avoid negative mental role playing.

Wow, I noticed you've got a lot of "views" (44), with only two replies on your Thread, mine being the second. I don't feel so alone now, when looking at number of "views" versus "replies" on some Threads that I've done.

I'm like you Lon, if I pray for someone, I'm just taking a few moments to wish them well, and send them positive and healing thoughts. No formal prayer at all.

I like what you said, Lon, and I believe it 'works.' I believe that we DO reach others with our positive thoughts about them... and focusing on negativity only creates more of the same....We can't always think happy thoughts, but we can intend to just let the negative ones go...go...go... :)
