I see that many are having dry spells. I think all of your rain has come here to Baltimore. I have never seen a spring with this much rain! It’s been chilly, wet, dark and dreary nearly every day. Miserable!
I love to walk this time of year and I’ve been stuck inside paying too much attention to politics and ruining my psyche.

I am in Georgia but I talk to my friend in the Baltimore area every day. Your miserable rainy days seem to follow ours by a few days. We are in the midst of another period of nasty weather. I hope it misses you this time around.

Picked up prescriptions, then did a run out to a small town grocery store to cash in a trashbag full of bottles and cans and do some major grocery shopping. Some of those returnables dated back to pandemic times.

Eggs still around $4.50/dozen, beef is up, chicken still cheap. Stuck to store brands and store specials for most things. Apples were up a little but it is pretty late for good local apples now. Honeycrisps were priced at twice the rate for Fujis.
I get my prescriptions at Walmart and there are enough of them that I visit often. Yesterday I picked up a dozen large eggs for $2.96. a pleasant surprise!

Finally got to do some out door chores.

We had a young wood chuck visit.
After Mac found it , its all gone.

Hubby is upset that we haven't got his favorite John Deer riding lawn mower repaired.
After 6 months, the dealer ship called & asked if he wanted the parts ordered.
Part is well over 3 figures!

I have one more pot to fill for hanging on out side garage wall.
Need to find something to eat.

Finished everything on my business to-do list yesterday, with time to spare! Today has seen a clearing out of my front room, with the exception of some things that need to go through the heat press (we have a commercial HP in the garage). DH will process those over the next week-ish, so they'll be outta my hair soon enough.

DH's computer stopped talking to his printer and he couldn't sort it out. As tech-support-in-residence, it got bumped to me. Took awhile, but now they're playing together nicely again.

I bought eggs last week for $3.25/dozen. Sure hope there isn't anther wave of bird flu.

Set up my new laptop (bought it in November and only looked at it long enough to be sure it worked ok). Will need to use it for out of town trips, so today I put some time into it.

I need MS Office for it because I use it for business and need Excel, Word, etc., but won't pay Microsoft's outrageous retail prices, nor will I pay monthly fees. (I've bought MS office at full retail at least 20 times over the years so no compunctions about buying from bulk sellers.)

Found some great deals on ebay for new Office 2024 Professional Plus. Lifetime for two Windows devices. USB download. No subscription. 100% positive reviews. $70. When I need to upgrade my desktop, I'll install the second Office there.

woke early... had devotions, watched the dawn arrive, prepped some veggies for later today, going over goals for year

I would like to engage more with people, provide more hospitality... cut down on mindless computer time (YouTube, FB, etc) and increase things that help with my concentration

Now sipping some peach/ginger tea and catching up with y'all. Have a great day!
Life is full of surprises and expectations.

Terrible. Temujin really didn't know who his father really was. Sad about his "blood brother".
Men are still the same in many ways but won't get into that. Too long; I gave up after about 4 hours. Years ago i saw another bio on the Great Kahn.
Indeed. As I sometimes tersely write, it may be why in Genesis, the human race, particularly due to the competitive nature of males, was criticized broadly as having "Original Sin". Though religious dogma has twisted that term in every which way than where it probably fits as viewed from elite intelligent entities.

~Supermarket this morning.
.
~Spent a lot of time on the phone today. Was on a three way call with my Honorary Son#3 and online bestie to discuss music and other collaborations. Then he called again to discuss specifics and we were on the phone for almost an hour and a half.

~Also had a nice conversation with my granddaughter who shared good news about her new job and fall aid and tuition status (my checkbook thanks her).

~Gave Deja a mani-pawdi. That was no easy task. 🐱 I couldn’t have done it without my son’s help.

II am jealous jealous jealous of everybody’s rain. Only 97 degree here today. Was 104 yesterday. Got the tile down and grouted in the living room at the project house. Walls not straight….so there was that…
Been to Phoenix in late September 1982, burnt my cheeks when laughing, wearing sunglasses, walking across a very new blacktop from the 2 story shopping center, we had ate salads, It was over 110 F. I can still can see them scars too.

Son picking me up late am to spend day and night at their home. Son & wife going to concert and I will watch grandson and sleep over.

I should be excited; I should be happy; hopefully I'll get there, but, have spent so much time alone lately, wallowing in fear; will be hard to break from this lonely mindset.

It's been a drag lately. I'm sure miserable weather has "dampened" my spirits. More rain tonight, & tomorrow, when I leave by AccessARide.

I love my son/grandson/dil.

Wake up Pepper. It's Life. Be happy for goodness sake.

Morning folks, up at 4am for some reason, oh wait, it was
the pains that got me up ...... I truly feel old yesterday and today, so much muscle/joint aches and outright pains....ah
well.....no plans for the day yet, will try to stay out of trouble...
have a great day......;):coffee::giggle:

Y'all! Don't be jealous of our rain, especially you @Muskrat. Remember how in the desert when it rains a lot how the water just sits on top of the parched earth because it can't soak in? Remember how in the desert when it rains really hard how you have to pull over if you're driving because (1) you can't see, (2) because there's so much water on the road that you have to wait for it to run off and (3) because you dare not keep driving for fear a gulley-washer will roar through and take you away with it?

Yesterday and still this morning there are animals marching up the street in pairs.🦒🦒🦌🦌🦝🦝🐨🐨 They are carrying lumber and other building materials. I believe it to be a sign.🚣‍♀️

If the (lying) weathernerds are to be believed, the sun will be out tomorrow and for about a week thereafter. By the time the lawn is dry enough to mow, I'll be like a farmer at haying time! All I'll need is a tractor.

Meanwhile, I'll try to keep the mildew at bay.

On my early morning walk at 6:50 temp was 53, sunny as I went to convient store to buy local paper for myself& friend, Connie
My plan this morning to do some paper work I've been meaning to get to this week I hope to take a mid morning walk& one in afternoon after lunch& nap
Tonight having dinner in dining room at 5:30 with Connie, the 3 other residents,Father Bob{retired Catholic priest} Gene&his partner Jim. We usually have dinner on Thurs but couldn't;t do so last night

Been finishing up the gardens. We have a lot of them and spring cleanup started in early April. Finally got it finished this week. Did a lot of brush cutting, tree trimming and weeding, weeding, weeding. Been moving plants around where they were getting crowded and it is looking pretty good. I used to hate rainy days but the plants really react this time of the year to watering. We got 4 inches of rain last week and the perennials all doubled in size. Now comes the pollen.

This fall I'm probably going to have to divide some daylilies. I have a couple of kinds, mine are mostly variations of the native yellows. Sometimes I'd like to have some of the orange to red ones but they tend to be pretty invasive here, and are often known as "ditch lilies" because they tend to take over roadside ditches.
