Happy Thursday, July 17th! I slept very well and feel fully rested and ready to take on our baby grandson again today. Had a rough night of not enough sleep Tuesday so yesterday was an endurance test.

Summer here has been blessedly mild so far, with afternoon humidity in the low 20s. The comfort difference between 85, 95 and 105 can't be overstated.

Hope all of you are able to make today a good one!

Will be a busy next 4 days. This morning need to finish up theft proof mounting my new California license plates onto the recently purchased 2023 Trailblazer LS that has been a difficult cluge. Spent 3 hours dealing with it yesterday. License plates thefts are common due to thieves using stolen plates on stolen vehicles.

Began working on gear for a backpacking trip in a week. My Excel gear list has over 200 items, but that includes a lot of small, tiny things. For example, sewing needle, ear plugs, rubber bands, USB-A to USB-C adaptor, etc. Making sure all such items end up inside a backpack when leaving a trailhead is critical and something I am an expert at getting right. Not having say, one's tube of mosquito repellent or that Bic lighter can be a disaster. Will be carrying about 16 to 24 ounces of food (including packaging) per day for the 6 day trip.

After a 4dtb am late this afternoon, going back into outdoor rock music street dancing mode that this time will be an easy walk to effort. Could be dancing the next 4 afternoons, but more likely just 3. The really huge upcoming music event will be the 60th anniversary Jerry's Day, August 2 free outdoor jam band concerts up in San Francisco's McLaren Park, Jerry Garcia Amphitheater.

I woke up to a beautiful morning! So instead of turning on the Wi-Fi and going online, we sat outside with our coffee...listening to the birds, giving Goob some attention, smelling the flowers, etc. It was so nice! The weather has been so 💩 this year, that it's we've done this. I loved it!

After breakfast, we went to the gym and I had a really good workout! I even got onto the treadmill for about 20 minutes. I would have walked longer, but my knee was starting to ache. Plus, I started a new pair of shoes this morning, and they aren't broken in yet. So 20 minutes seemed long enough.

After the gym, we were hoping to go to the little grocery store for a cup of coffee. Then to the library to scan the next batch of pictures. Unfortunately, a quick check of the weather radar showed that rain storms were forming close by.

So we headed straight home, and here I am....enjoying a cuppa and snacking on a few nacho chips and cheese, while checking up on my friends! 😁

@Trila Sitting outside with coffee early in the morning is my favorite thing to do all day. It's so peaceful...

One more thing: coffee has to be from my favorite mug. Just any mug won't do; it has to be my favorite one. Because it tastes better...

The SFBA has a lot of Classic Rock cover bands. And many of those musicians look just like we seniors since it's our music era. Will be rocking to these guys late this afternoon. May have attended one of their outdoor shows last summer?

...is a hot rockin' dance band playing new and classic rock and blues dance tunes, with outstanding lead vocals and harmonies, and smoking guitar licks. Chain of Fools has generated a loyal fan group of friends, MeetUp dance groups and dance band lovers in the South Bay. Chain of Fools plays regularly at premier nightclubs, festivals, wineries, city events, weddings, and private parties in the bay area. We cover artists like The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Badfinger, The Temptations, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, CSNY, Warren Zevon, Blue Oyster Cult, Allman Brothers, Rod Stewart, Billy Idol, The Cars, Stray Cats, Van Halen, AC/DC and many more. The energy of this band gets the crowd on their feet dancing, and ready to party!

Today I had the personal satisfaction of breaking down a VERY large box. Then taking a utility knife to it. Relieved some stress

Hugs because I get it. I have several in the garage I need to break down whenever the weather becomes civil again. There is a certain amount of personal satisfaction obtained when one takes a cutting device to a cardboard box.🤠🤠
