I just got back from three days the Outer Banks. Yes, that Outer Banks where the NorEaster just went through.
DH had a fishing trip planned. I went to keep him company and settled until his nephew got there on Wed and then my son, this weekend.
It was dark, cool, and very windy but nice in a Halloweeny way. The areas where houses were lost was closed of course. 😢
We stayed in Kitty Hawk. The rest of the week should be great for fishing.
On the way out I stopped in Manteo at the Christmas Shop. It's been there forever. It was for sale some years back but either it wasn't sold or the new owner kept it exactly the same.
It is rooms upon rooms like some of the old houses in Salem Massachussetts.

Looks unassuming doesn't it?
This is Part One. I found myself alone and stumbled into the Halloween section with rooms and rooms of scare. See next post.

Thank you @Mitch86
Started out day weak & in pain. Then I read Mitch's latest on his upcoming death. Made me mad! Mad gives me the strength to continue, to carry on. Lucky I have lots to get mad about! I may make it to 100 if that's an indication.
Thank you Mitch

Don't know if I'll be attending today's Meditation Group, Reiki Healing. My main thing to do today is my 2pm appointment with, oh I forgot what kind of doctor he is. He's the one who found my lung cancer in 2019 and nagged and nagged to get me going. So, that's my important thing today. Feel the Meditation might take the energy I need to get me there. I'm so easily disrupted.

He's a pulmolnologist, just remembered, tho can't spell it.

I worked in the garden. Watered everything and dug up a bunch of dead azaleas and cut dead branches off a bunch more. Whew! I sure can't work as long or as hard as I used to.

There's a load of laundry in the dryer and another load in the washer.

That's probably all I'm gonna do today because...um...that's all I feel like doing? LOL

Another overcast day.. only 58 deg... I have no socks on and my feet are now beginning to feel cold...

I won't put the heating on until it's cold even through my feather and down gilet...

Nothing planned for today... got physiotherapy tomorrow, so I've got some donations ready to take with me to drop off at the Charity shop...

Have the best day you can Peeps of SF>>.. 🌺 🍂 (y)

Good afternoon to all. Sunny outside but cooler here. I will be going to the store to get something to eat tonight. We want something different than what we have here to eat.

We had our flu vaccinations yesterday instead of when we first scheduled. We are both fine with no side effects. Next week we are scheduled to get Covid 19. We did not want both at the same time.

I hope you are all well and have a good day. :)

From what I can gather, Mitch is presuming he'll be dead in a couple of years. I haven't seen any posts from him about a condition that carries a terminal diagnosis, other than that we all die eventually and the older we get the more likely it is that "eventually" will arrive sooner rather than later.

Okay, need some advice here, friend brought me over a plastic
tub full of home made chicken noodle soup, think it was sunday...she does things like this every so often, just good people....now last eve, i got the tub out of the fridge to have
a bowl of soup, imagine my surprise when I popped the lid
and there was a big lump of congealed wide noodles staring
at me!~!~~~ along with bits of carrots, chicken and other
things....I will not eat this, wouldnt even know how to warm it
up to edible taste, I've just deposited it in double plastic bags
into the trash bin.....what do I say If she asks about it?????
Should I tell the truth, should I just lie, shoud i just say oh it
was good and pass it by??????o_O:unsure:

It sounds ok to me.The noodles should "uncongeal" when heated. Did it look that bad?

Oh, just saw your reply to marie

I want to add to my trip story.
When I was leaving the Outer Banks DH said, "Since you're stopping at (our daughter's), you should take 264 down the coast." A scenic drive straight to her house.
Well, it was scenic. Signs warning of endangered Red Wolf crossing. I found myself on about 50 miles of very rural roadway, very few cars, and NO CELL SERVICE!
This after my visit to Hell inside the Christmas Shop. I was fine but wondering.
I got to some teeny tiny farm towns that were civilization. 🚜
