DD and I dropped some things off at Goodwill, then went to put some books in the Little Free Library at a nearby park.

She decided that she had plenty of points at McDonald's so used them for a kids' meal and got me a vanilla iced coffee. That coffee just hit the spot even though it's not a hot day.

Next up is making the enchiladas for dinner and giving Maggiecat her supper.

It's been a quiet day.

And more from this morning's events:

Left: My new puppy tripped me, or jumped and pulled me down, a half dozen times. At 12 m/o and 60 pounds, it's stronger than I am. Falling down on my face, being just short of 90, is dangerous. So reluctantly, I gave him a training collar to get him to "growing up" faster. It takes a while to mold a new puppy to my liking. We have a 2 1/2 acre fenced yard where the pups can roam around without restriction. Although I have to watch out for coyotes. They easily jump our 6 foot fence and will attack larger dogs.
Right: My puppy loves mud, and so I have to hose off all that dirt before he jumps again into my bed without permission. Puppies learn easily territorial issues, but getting him to stop chewing on my sandals is hopeless no matter how many leather bones I give him to chew on.

Our morning walk continued: At our small shopping plaza, a family gave away for free nine German Shepherd puppies. My puppy is in front.

Left: A museum piece as front lawn decoration. I would be worried it might get stolen.
Right: My daughter had a surprise for me when I came home from my morning walk. So delicious, and so totally unhealthy.

Last night's storms knocked my WIFI down to half it's usual strength, then it got worse. Now using cell phone as hotspot, which is fast enough, but not ideal. Future radar shows another storm is heading our way and should last 3-4 hours. Probably won't be on the computer much till things get fixed.

So . . . not a great day here, but thankful for no hail or 70 mph winds like some got north of us. Hope things go well for each of you weatherwise (and anywise).

That front is just arriving here. Looks like we're sort of in a calmer split on the radar for now with mostly rain, storms to the north and south of us.

Been a gorgeous, gorgeous fall day!! Sat outside and/or walked to enjoy it all.

Had to take Sylvester (our cat) to vet yesterday... long story short, he's got the kitty version of IBS. He got a steroid shot and seems to be feeling a little better today.

Made a big pot a kielbasa sausage/potato/greenbean soup... it came out really yummy.
