high level flu shot....my shot up from 177 last month to 184 today!!?? and yes I wore suspenders so pants didn't fall down LOL...he gave me a lead on presceiption help, and the thing
is you have to have spent $600.00 on scripts before trhey
will consider helping you.....so will have to contract pharmacy....
see him agin in march, unless he will need to see me about
a different medicine....all wet & rainy here, coolish out too...
now its nap time!!! :D
I don't know what prescription he gave you but you might ask him about Roflumilast.

At Pappy’s house nothing really planned. 33 degrees out there right now. Still need to get a haircut, but really don’t like going to barbers anymore. 1948, 50 cents for a haircut. Now, $33 and up, not counting tip.
Plus a tip? 😲 Is your wife able to run the clippers? If so I think I'd be having her do it for free. I've been cutting my own hair for 5 years now. I ain't payin 20 bucks or whatever it is here now for them to spend 5 min. cutting off a half inch all over. Sheesh!

that's very frustrating , because over 60's here get free prescriptions regardless of the cost of the medicine...

I'm just hangin out til it's time to get ready for work. Work has been most unpleasant the past 2 wks but I'm trying to put on a better attitude and deal with it like a big girl. LOL!

I was gonna play video games last night but I'd had a rough day yesterday and just watched tv til bed time.

Gotta order some new parts for my cpap machine. I remember the first week of trying to get used to this thing. I hated it. Now I can't hardly sleep without it. But some of the dreams I have while sleeping with this thing sure are bizarre. It's almost as if my brain turns in AI while I'm dreaming and distorts things a lot. It's creepy. And none of it makes sense which is even worse.

Stayed up late to watch the World Series game #2. 18 innings, 6 hours and 39 minutes, ending just before midnight local time. Next game starts this evening, 5 PM.

For anyone unfamiliar with baseball rules, regulation games are 9 innings, but ties are played in full innings until there's a winner. The Los Angeles Dodgers won, but it was a tough slog for both teams.

Went early for fasting blood work in anticipation of my annual physical next week. Am on my 2nd cup of coffee and pondering a late breakfast.

Holy crap! 9 extra innings? That must have been the longest game ever!

It tied for the longest WS game by innings. Game 3 of the 2018 WS was also 18 innings, and ran 7 hours, 20 minutes between the Dodgers & Boston Red Sox. It was also in Dodger Stadium and the Dodgers won that one, too. Also with a solo home run.

The longest MLB game ever was in 1920 between the Brooklyn Robins & Boston Braves and it ended in a tie due to darkness. 26 innings.

Longest by time was 1984, 25 innings between Chicago White Sox & Milwaukee Brewers. 8 hours & 16 minutes.

Pappy you need to get a hair shaver... give yourself a haircut...my X used to do it all the time... loads of money and time saved...

My dear HD, I hope you have taken into account whether the user of the shaver (clippers in the US) is graceful at using it. I once used clippers on my sons' heads after I had spent several hours watching instructional videos for said operations.

One son became totally bald. My husband saw him from the front door when he came home from work. Baldie was across the house. My husband asked me who the child was. I told him it was just some bald kid who came over to play. He literally did not recognize his own child!!!!

One son had curly hair and I discovered that curls cover a multitude of sins. Besides, I didn't accidentally make him bald. He was rather sensitive and would have had a meltdown.

One son became very leery of participating and absolutely refused. He was always neurotic. He left the house at top speed. Naturally, the parents who promised to keep him safe from Mama Scissorhands had clearly overstepped their boundaries. Or mine. Whatever.

Morning all... sunny breezy day...temps 12 deg c.... 🌺

It's 11.30am... I want to go out, but I'll stay in and wait for my DD's lunchtime phone call... and then I'll go out after that. She could ring me on my mobile when I'm out, but chances are that I'd be driving.. or in the salon or store... it's more convenient for her to call my landline... so I wait in for her..
I slept really badly last night... don't know why..I hate that because it usually means I'll drop off later in the day...and I don't like that..

Have the best day you can SF'ers....
I hope you have a lovely day. What's with the 12 deg c? Are you trying to turn this into a math class?

Don’t understand why. It was $15 + tip in Florida. Good old NY when everything is much more expensive.

I have a desktop link to this jpg so I can convert easily. I also use the imprecise but good enough rule for estimating: double the Celsius number and add 30 to get Fahrenheit. It's not perfect, but will let you know if it's very cold, comfortable, quite warm or very hot. Reverse it for Fahrenheit to Celsius (subtract 30 and divide by two).

Back when, I worked in the Los Angeles branch of a Canadian company. Canadian coworkers would mention that the day's high was 3° or similar. At first I felt bad that they were dealing with such cold temps, but pretty soon I caught on that they were quoting Celcius temps, which converted to 36°F. After that I'd say, "Oh for Pete's sake, why all the drama? It's January and you live in Winnipeg... isn't that relatively balmy weather for you?"

We'd have a good laugh and get down to business.
