So,on the way to the cricket the bus driver managed to knock a mirror off a parked lorry!
That held us up for a bit.
Then a great game of T20 in more amazing weather followed by a tea of Cod and Chips,Bramley Apple Crumble and ice cream ( they’ve just got rid of the custard option)and a Cider in ‘Spoons.
After taking a hour to get to Cwmbran from Newport-it’s usually about 35 minutes on Route 29!

The weather is amazing for cricket at the moment isn't it ?

awww that's a shame...
It seems no matter how much I sell, there's just as much (or more) left. I swear the items are multiplying. I was carrying boxes out to the garage all morning and thought I had them all out there and ready to unpack. I went back in the house and there's three more boxes! The same thing happened when I moved.

you gotta stop buying stuff, until you get eveything you want sold.... :D

Good afternoon, SF peeps! Wednesday, May 14th. Beautiful day here - high in mid 70s. Hope you're having nice weather, too.

Working on websites today. Don't ask. It's so long between times I need to update them that I half-forget how to do it and have to reacquaint myself with the process all over again.

@hollydolly, I'm finding very uneven benefits to prescribed meds for GERD (or whatever it is). Sometimes it seems the meds might be helping, other times I'd swear they're nothing more than sugar pills.
Did you experience the same?

yes there has been a few occasions when I felt sure I was being given placebo, specifically more so they've had to supply me Omeprazole instead of Lansoprazole due to lack of supllies for example

I totally understand......

Sunny day,,wind seems cold to hubby & I.

He is mowing lawns... I've been reminding him that he did TO much couple week ago.
To take break.
Trying to get him to understand that sitting on the mower seat,,cuts down circulation.

We don't understand why the doctor didn't send him to see a heart doctor or have chest x-rays .

The doctor knows heart problems run in our families.

Well another day almost over..

I've got all the windows washed inside and out and the front door and porch cleaned down...., and the curtains are in the dryer now....

so with all the big flower pots being moved over, the weeding of the border... the disposal of the old solar lights, and the new ones put out this afternoon...

Then the discussion with my BB provider, about changing tarrifs ( took half an hour to talk this through )

Cooked dinner...had pie and peas in the end.... washed up...

took delivery of 2 separate parcels...

Spoke to my DD for 20 minutes when she rung in her break...

I feel now at 9.15pm... I need to listen to my back which is killing me.. and do nothing now but take the curatins out of the dryer when they're done..

Played 9 holes of golf, then swam.

Came home and hung out with wife and daughter. Then went with daughter to a weight loss clinic she has been attending. She has lost 27 lbs in just 2 months with drugs and a personal trainer. She has about 20 more to go to be at ideal weight but I want her to slow down and focus more on general well-being. She looks much better and seems happier.

Afternoon -- rain, quiet, wife working, home goofing off on computer. Daughter coming back tonight for dinner, officially not a celebration but it feels like one.

I sooo wish I had a pool here... The nearest outdoor pool is a 40 mile roundtrip, and because it's the only one, it gets packed and then it's impossible to swim..

Water is So expensive here, but the Mississippi /Missouri and Illinois river converge is only 10 miles away. ... Grafton, il. is a cool river town,
wonderful marina, Pool and huge Water slide and purr-fect Eating / wine tasting evenings too.

I collect like new golf clubs and buy another set today with Graphite shafts / pro. I bad! I put new oversized grips on them. But this set are cherry!

Smart TV's can get HDTV with the right antenna. Then you scan for Stations. I have 8 and 100's channels to choose from then Prime and other pay tv channels off ATT&T U-verse stuff.

Please call the doctor! Find out why!

I'm watching a Howard Hughes the Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio. I saw it years ago. very dramatic action at times. Funny too.
He was kind of weird about crap getting onto stuff though!

We are back at our ST. Louis area home again, tomorrow will be mow and clean up the places yard. Tomatoes are standing 3' and blooming.
Saw 1000's of acres of rows of new field corn. Mostly Sprayers and Fertilizer big rigs on the Highways. They run around 40 MPH so one
needs to give space for those big guys. Some Tracked with Chisel plows that need more than a lane of the highway were about too. These
Big Farmer guys sort of have the right of way of slow equipment. I wonder if I would have had the opportunity growing up to drive these
big guys like I did the lil stuff.

We're set to go to a Cardinals home game this weekend. Grandchilds Chorus is singing at it. I trying to figure a way out of the
Crowd rush. Maybe take the Train in and leave the F150 parked in Illinois. Yea thas seems a wise choice. The bridges / Roads
are under construction. Truck traffic are wrecking the roads. ugh!

Sunny breezy low 70F's today.

After more investigation and some phone calls, beginning to think I'm not going to be able to repair the corrupted Dell SSD drive and end up having to live with starting the hated Adobe Photoshop monthly subscription. Went down to my bank and moved some money from savings to checking to support the computer gear I've been buying. Then $20 worth of groceries at Trader Joe's. Didn't feel too lively after just mic'ing eating half frozen package of sweet corn for lunch.

But was intent on attacking one of last dusty areas downstairs that became a couple of bookcases, one 3 by 5 foot and the other 8 by 4 foot (w by h) that I haven't cleaned in a few years. So a developing mess created by just pushing books in anywhere they may fit after use. Of course lots of dust on top of each. I have a powerful 450 watt lithium ion Tineco hand held portable stick vacuum so pulled all the books out onto my living room floor and sorted types while sucking up the dust atop each.

Behind some books were plenty of cob webs and escaping silverfish about the only insect I ever see in my residence. Cleaned and Lysol'd all the cases and walls. So quite a lot of physical work I'm glad is over. Was useful just to recall all the books I have that over years tend to forget about. Almost all science, technology, park hiking guidebooks, atlases, camera, botany, geology, psychology, astronomy. After retiring in 2017 had tossed a huge pile of electronic and computer, software books.

Only one more living room modest dust zone behind some storage cabinets yet to do and then need to sort through accumulated piles of paperwork that will be filed into about a dozen letter size hanging file crates upstairs. Warriors <> Timberwolves NBA playoff game starts in a bit I'll listen to on radio.

Ugggh!! Did it again! Composed this on my phone last night and fell asleep before I hit post reply. 🙄 But at least I was in my comfy recliner this time. 😴
After eating breakfast I fell asleep unbeknownst to myself and didn't wake up until noon. I spent a couple of hours here on the Forum trying to catch up.

This evening my Honorary Son (HS) #3 took me to Amazon Fresh. At the checkout we networked with a couple of the employees who were on break. HS, who refers to me as Mom, promoted his radio show. They thought it is cool that I'll be guesting on Saturday and expressed interest in the topic.

I pulled up my album on YouTube on the phone of the young man who said he likes music and is getting into Jazz. He was enthusiastic about listening and will share the link with the worker who helped and chatted with us at the salad bar. She is also a TA and does school photography part time. She wants to hear the music and broadcast too. When I mentioned that my HS also does music, the young man commented about how creative we are. Productive evening. I got my groceries, saved some $$ and we likely got more listeners.
