Good morning to everyone, yesterday we had a thunder storm with heavy rain. Wouldn't you know we were driving home on the highway going toward our home and couldn't see with the heavy rain on the windshield. I pulled over at a turn spot and waited for it to subside somewhat but cars were speeding by with no problem, I guess. I finally could see a little better but had to drive slow until the turn off to my home.

Everyone have a good day and stay well. :)

OMG that is so scary when the rain is heavier than your fastest wipers in the car.... horrible... I'm glad you got home safely...

All of these appointments, places to go, and things to do lately seems to be catching up with me. After getting home yesterday, I was deep down, exhausted!!! I spent the rest of the day doing absolutely nothing!!!!!

I crashed before I could post last night because yesterday was a long, busy, delightful day. Our niece picked my sister and me up to take us for lunch at a seafood restaurant in Point Pleasant, N.J. She had a friend with her, who it turned out also worked in the STD Program in the infamous Newark, N.J. Though I was based out of a different office, she had worked with or interacted with my former co-workers and some of the same people in the state and federal program that I had. Small world. Lunch was good, but a bit expensive for what you got IMO. Our niece insisted on also paying the tip, despite my objection.

Later my Honorary Son #3 and I went to Amazon Fresh. He decided it was a nice night to drive through the mountain on the way back. He loves the scenery up there and although I love seeing water views, I have to admit it is nice to see the grass, trees and families enjoying it all. We remarked about how many were using the new trail for walking and jogging. Being up there brings back memories of when my family used to go up there for cookouts, especially when we passed “our spot”...the one we always used to set up at when I was a child. HS#3 and I always have interesting conversations about both our creative endeavors and life in general. So it was a lovely evening.

I was so tired that I couldn’t continue to read Scene 2 of HS#3's play, on which he wanted my feedback last night. But that didn’t happen. I’ll get to that today. I heated leftovers from lunch and literally fell asleep with the dinner plate (on a lap tray) on my lap. I set it on the coffee table and went back to sleep, something I normally don’t do. I talked myself out of going to the supermarket today; I need to do some stuff around here.

View from our table area. There was a marina with plenty of boats to the left, just out of view of this photo.

I have an ortho appt to get a second shot in my trigger finger today. I have more to do this month than I can shake a stick at. Otherwise just lingering about.
I can relate…I also have trigger finger (right thumb). And i also got those shots every 6 months for 3+ years. And then one day by fluke i came across a therapy cream (Penetrex) on Amazon that with repeated use eliminates the not insignificant pain of trigger finger, for me anyway. (It also worked magic on some horrific plantar fasciitis.) So maybe file this tidbit away should you ever grow tired of those shots😉,

Humidity is building today. The Feels like is going to be something I do not want to be part of after 11 o’clock.

This morning is mani-pedi day for the horses. Five weeks sure comes around fast when money is involved🤯
Same here in the greater St. Louis area. Daily rains are close by now.
July will most likely be dryer. Outdoors on the water is a good plan too!

Well today has been a busy one doing one thing and another... I say today but pedantically it was yesterday give ntat it's now 1.20am Friday..

My dd who is a super influencer, managed to get me some officaldom sorted out but then she was 45 minutes on the phone explaining the ins and outs, and the wheres and what fors, that I needed to know...

She has no mobile phone signal in her house, so she has to ring from her shed which is the only place she can get a signal , so every time I started to speak she said..ssssh... just listen mum.. because I'm standing out here in the shed, and I want to be quick... ..so I barely get a word in when she rings from home.

Usually she rings twice a week, but she rings in her lunch hour from work, so she has a much better line there...

Since the divorce became final and the official financial order was made just a week ago...lots of things have to be changed and some are in the process. It's all slightly overwhelming... but DD has been a great help...

At some point I have to go to Spain to oversee the selling of our house... :(:(
