Good morning SF Peeps! It's RAINING! And real rain - not just a little sprinkle. Yay for rain!

DS called yesterday evening - turns out the little ones have today and tomorrow off from school so he asked if we wanted to take one. (Yes, please!) We're going for nearly 4 year old because we'd planned to do some minor things around the house and he doesn't need the arms-reach level of supervision that the 19 month old requires.

Not sure about taking the little one tomorrow - that'll depend on how today breaks out.

Howdy all folks!! Looks like I am late today, lousy sleep nite....
Idiot next door has radio set to come on at 3 or 4am, tuned into
some militant sounding guy spouting nonsense(to me), and that is what woke me.....so kinda irratated this morning, but oh
well, ....got an issue with my left leg but so what,.....no big plans
yet for today, just go with the flow I guess....love you all for
having me.....take care.....;):cool::love::coffee::devilish:
Big hugs!!!!

I got ambitious and mowed the one small section of the lawn that isn't brown and crunchy yet. Then, still feeling ambitious, I cleaned out the storage bench. Yay me.

I made a beef pot pie for our supper tonight. I'd never done that before; it's always been chicken pot pie, but where is it written that it can't be beef instead? Publix had Hormel roasts on sale for $5.99 (they're only 15oz...not even a whole pound...but just enough), and that's what I used since there wasn't any leftover pot roast. I already had mixed veggies and beef gravy. Saved the au jus from the roast and put it in the freezer.

DD and DGD have pronounced it "tasty."

Now I'm ready to call it a day and play solitaire on the laptop and watch mindless stuff on TV.

For the last week, every time I said I was going to recount how my days went, I ate and fell asleep until it was “tomorrow”. I haven’t even been on the computer in these few eventful days. Friday and Sunday were very lazy days of napping, playing games on my phone and watching T.V.
Thursday: Finished what little packing I had left to do, ran the dishwasher in the suite, put away the dishes and utensils and took an Uber to the casino bus center. I got home at 9:30 p.m. from vacation in Atlantic City. I nearly missed my 6 o'clock bus, which was 20 minutes late, because I was playing with my phone while expecting the bus center lady to announce the departure as she had done with prior departures. But I didn’t realize that she had gone on break. Looked up…bus was there! My son picked me up from my stop causing him to get to bed an hour later than usual.

Saturday I had a lab appointment at 11, much later than usual, but it was the only available appointment at my preferred location. After that I decided I needed real food, not the snack I had brought with me. My son stopped at Wendy's and for the first time in a long time, I had a hamburger and fries. They were good too. :p I ate the fries in the car and waited until I got to my sister’s room (in rehab) to eat the burger. Although her dementia is obvious, we managed to have a nice conversation. That night I sat with HS#3 during his broadcast, as I usually do.

Monday I had a doctor’s appointment. I thought the forecasted Nor’Easter was going to prevent me from going, but we just had some light rain and wind enough to turn my umbrella inside out for a second. My endocrinologist is happy with my A1C results (6.8 down from 7.2) and other bloodwork. After the appointment I walked across the street and picked up my Amazon package from their hub.

Yesterday…I trimmed my hair. I also had an appointment with one of my cardiologists to discuss my echocardiogram results. He said everything looks good, heart is functioning as normal. He was happy to hear that the new medications he started me on a few weeks ago are working very well so I haven’t had any more A-Fib episodes. This morning I have to get laundry done, do some light cleaning and straighten up a bit. I also need to catch up with posts here and on Facebook.

The sun was beginning to set as we were leaving AC.
