Morning all, I took my early walk at 6:50 temp was 34 with a breeze as I wore my winter boots. I didn't;t go far just to the end of the driveway by the signal light and back
As things are back to normal, this morning going to weekly Fri exercise class at 10am, rest of my day read yesterday& today's NYT. I may go out for another walk this afternoon if its not snowing,we have about an inch of snow
Everybody have a great day

Not much going on just now.....it's still before sunrise and I'm starting to wake up.

Today is the last of our (sort of) nice days for a while. This evening the rain is to start, and the temperatures will be dropping. We'll have bad weather for at least a week, maybe even longer.

We are planning on going to the gym today, and then Wal-Mart....not my idea! The gym sounds good, but I have always tried to avoid going to any stores on Black Friday. This should be interesting! NOT! Especially since the freezer is full, and I can't really think of anything that we will "need" in the next week. Well, maybe toilet paper....but that's the only thing.

So, I guess that's the plan for today. Wish me luck! 🙄

Morning all folks!! I slept in a bit better last nite yay!! Feel okay if
a bit of sore joints, which is usual at this age....I made it a do nothing
day yesterday and did it quite well thankyouverymuch!!!! One of
my friends was a no-show with the turkey dinner plate, so luckily
I had my Marie Callendar frozen turkey dinner for celebration on
the day....but it is a dissapointment nowadays.....the quality/quantity
has gone straight down to the bottom....ah well no plans for today at all!!!:):D:coffee::devilish::love:

Good morning everyone. It is cold this morning, 40 degrees feels like 35 degrees.

Thanksgiving dinner was a good one for us. We had turkey and some mixed vegetables, with mashed potatoes for husband (it is not allowed with my kidney disease) and hot rolls. Our dessert was caramel apple pie. We only had a small slice since we were not very hungry at that time.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day today. :)

Did you know that Simon Cowell grew up in Elstree?
Just off Deacon's Hill I believe. And therefore not far down from where Stanley Kubrick's house was up on Barnet Lane.

We've lived on the South side of Borehamwood (Not Elstree) for the last 38 years, and it'll be 39 years in January. Did you know there's even a Facebook forum called 'Borehamwood not Elstree' ?

My brother lives right on the rim of Lake affect snow. He got a good 8 inches of snow yesterday, Thanksgiving, More coming today.

Better him than me lol lol. I live 10 hours further south where we are running about 10° to 15° cooler than normal. It was 21° when I woke up at 5:30 this morning. The good news is, there is no wind, we will have full sunshine all day and we should hit 45° My horses love the sun in this kind of weather.

The horses heated water tubs are still working, so that’s a good thing.

My precious neighbor who had about 20 family members over for Thanksgiving, brought me over enough food to last for three days. Her entire family are first class cooks and bakers. One container had two huge pieces of Bundt cake that looked really good. When I opened it up, I got a good whiff of rum. Rum-filled Bundt cake Yum. There’s still one piece left.😇😇

A little paraffin shaved into the chocolate makes it stick. Squares of food grade paraffin are sold in groceries. Called Gulf Wax.
I've noticed BTW that bananas these days are very hard to open!

Make a small horizontal slit about a half inch below the stem of the banana and pull up and over.
