Wednesday 5/13/2026 8:53am PDT. Quiet day at home continuing HTML coding for image work along the North Coast last week. May also do laundry today or Friday? Tomorrow, Thursday, is an uncommon sunny, low breeze day along ocean shores. So may drive from dawn, the 70 miles north through San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, to the Highway 1 Marin Headlands in the Golden Gate National Recreational Area and explore beach areas for close-up photography at Muir Beach and Rodeo Beach that have colorful surf smoothed melange geology stones.

Then in the mid afternoon, will drive to Hawk Hill for views of San Francisco behind the Golden Gate Bridge before driving home back south. Then this weekend after another quiet day Friday, will be especially lively. Nearby is a free multi-stage multi-band, music event with huge crowds, that I expect to do plenty of my running man shuffle dancing at.

What I miss the most about city living:
1) The Symphony. Even the best recording can't compare to an in person performance.
2) Theater, including opera, plays, dance.
3) Boutique shops.
4) Good restaurants.

What I don't miss about city living:
1) Crowds.
2) Traffic.
3) Crime.
4) Noise.
5) Pollution.
 
I made mango-peach sorbet this afternoon. Really it's a cross between sorbet and ice cream now that I'm using more whipped cream, which causes it not to freeze as hard. It is so easy to make and satisfies my ice cream cravings. I also updated our budget spreadsheets.
