I was out in the woods, clipping vines all afternoon, yesterday. The pesky things will completely take over (they already have!), if you don't keep cutting them. It's very tiring work, so I've did nothing else once I was in for the day.

Tomorrow is a rain day, so no skating for this gal. But I'm OK with that. We really could use the rain. I just don't want excessive amounts, like last year!!!

I have to do that all summer long with the Ivy... it's sore on my hands, but it has to be done to keep it all looking neat...

I think that's about 14 days in a row now.. thank the good lord I live on top of a hill and not in the valley..... at least we don't get flooding up here... 🌧️

It's 4.30pm, I'm not long home from being out to a retirement lunch with my friends husband.. and 5 other people... in our friends' group...

It was just a pub in town that we used to use a lot back in the day which is now a restaurant, and they have a piano bar as well so that was really nice.....:love:

I'm expecting a delivery from Amazon in a few minutes apparently the driver is 5 stops away...

Have the best Friday the 13th you can folks.. and hope everyone has the best luck today 🌷

OMG... !! as a person waiting for knee surgery and who suffers pain in my knee every day... I absolutely can imagine the agony you're feeling now. Have you got painkillers and muscle relaxants ?

They also took a new photo. I had to stand in front of a white screen and felt like they were taking a mug shot. Then they showed me my new pic and asked if I approved. I don't know what I could have done to look any better. You can't make Marilyn Monroe out of Tugboat Annie.
 
Nope... good guesses everyone, I would have guessed any of those myself.... @Babs2u that's the colour that immediately came to mind when I opened the case..

except this is a lipstick I bought online and it was sold as Coral
I had to have refund.. even tho' the seller is insisting it's coral which is a shade of peach.... ..... also the glitter fgs... :eek: maybe if I was 21 and nightclubbing...:D

Not the type of lipstick I'm likely to wear during the day..lol

My 17 m/o puppy is taller and heavier that my 6 y/o grandson...........He caught this butterfly but chased a grasshopper in vain.

My puppy still has to learn to catch the ball to the left of him; and this time, I did not forget Valentine's Day (I am even early.)

Went out to a local wildlife reserve that is a blue oak savanna grassland and used my new lens a bit. Too breezy to work many wildflower close-up but did photo a California newt and some modest landscapes. Will see what they look like in Photoshop later. Shook off from my Levi 505s, maybe a dozen ticks as was carefully checking those pants and gear every few minutes. Not anything to take lightly. Also a 32 inch collapsible circular reflector I carry to block wind and more got loose from a hand and then rolled down about 10 feet into a patch of poison oak. After I type, this am going to soak it in some soapy water. After weeks of fair warm dry weather, large storms are due in by Sunday.

After 3 quiet days at home, was going to attend a Valentines Day club event tomorrow but weather there is looking gloomy mid 50Fs rather foggy with drizzle. So instead have decided to drive north 45 miles this Friday evening for 3 loud rowdy punk bands at a club.

It's cold 2 deg now at 10.30am.... but beautifully sunny.... 🌞

My road is empty of cars, everyone has gone out after 2 weeks of rain.....

I have all the windows open.. to air the house thriough...

I think my crocuses are trying to pop their head through


Recently my neighbour a couple of doors up sold his house.... he was a young widower.. , and now my neighbours 2 door the opposite way who are an elderly but fit and healthy couple, have got their house up for sale now... soon there will be hardly anyone left that I know... 🫣

My son is coming this morning to help me change the batteries in my outdoor cameras.
He is the Patriarch of the family now. So much like his Dad. He is already missing talking to him about what they'd each be planting this year. They didn't agree on everything but gardening was a common hobby.
In under two months my life is different. Not all in bad ways, just foreign, I guess you'd say.
