How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2026....

I have just spent the best part of 2 hours outside, getting things done now it's not raining.

Up in the barn, in the shed... and also a job I have been wanting to do since the new utility room was built and that was to clean all the parts of my Shark Vac... the head was particularly manky because it was used to vac up all the sawdust and plaster dust.. so I took into the garden, onto the table and too it apart piece by piece... and cleaned it all...

Frotunately I've got a Miele corded which I've been using this last few weeks in the house, while I waited to get the Shark cleaned..

Took delivery of a set of Pump containers for shampoo etc.... and none of the pumps work... that really grinds my gears ! Now I have to arrange for them to be returned... 😖

It's coming up to 12.45pm.. the sun is still shining... it's cold at 2 deg, but in my garden which is a sun trap it feels really warm... 🌞 🌺

Morning all, on my early walk at 7 temp was 25 refreshing with a slight breeze. I'm not walking around the building until the sidewalks are free of ice/snow I prefer smooth/clear pavement.Lately I've been walking to the end of the street by the signal light a couple times during the day.
I have no real plans today,do laundry, see what today's lunch& dinner menu is offering
Tonight on TV at 8pm BBCAmerica watch another episode of 'Kingdom' narrated by Sir David Attenborough enjoying this limit series, I think next week will be final episode

Good morning to everyone. It is sunny at 52 degrees and the temperature this afternoon will be 80. Tomorrow the rain storms are predicted. We do need rain but this will only help a little according to the weatherman.

@hollydolly you are so good at fixing things around your house. I wish I could do all those things here. We have to rely on a young man to help or hire someone. I hope you do not hurt yourself. Try to relax the rest of the day.

Everyone, enjoy your day and stay well. :)

DH and I are going to a Valentine's Day potluck this evening, so I have to go get a pie to take as a dish - because I do not feel like cooking! 😁

Feeling decent, not too many aches and pains! Lovely day out, sunny and cool ☀️

@hawkdon sausage gravy and biscuits sounds SOOOOO good! Yum Yum!

@hollydolly My goodness, you busy bee!

Wishing all a wonderful day & weekend!
all it needs is a little bit of sunshine to get me going...and I;m off doing all the jobs..lol

A lovely sunny day here today. Busy day too. I drove down to the old home town an hour away and took 350 photos of the place as 'before shots' for a new improvement scheme starting next week and going on until August, when I'll do a set of 'after shots'.

Then I drove to a nearby town to do a set of environmental portraits of a local business woman for her brochures etc. I've given her 22 shots from 3 locations and she seems happy with them :)

Finally I drove to the old railway bridge on the West Coast Mainline that I used to frequent when I live down that way. It was good to chat to some of the guys there that I haven't seen for a few years and photograph the trains for an hour.

Good morning, everyone. Today we are supposed to get rain and strong winds.

Yesterday, my husband somehow lost the sound on our new TV. We tried all the remotes to get it back and nothing worked. Finally, we called our young friend who set it up for us and he came right over and fixed it in 5 minutes. We are not used to this new TV but it was working before the sound problem and now it is working again.

I hope you all have a good Sunday. :)

I'm just sitting around, reading, waiting for that cuppa!

So far today, I've done my exercises, and I wasted my time on my cross stitch. Everything that I did was wrong and had to be pulled apart. (sigh). Well, at least it's right, now.

🚶Later, the sun is expected to come out. I'm hoping to go for a walk.

Other than that, I'm not sure what mischief is in store for the rest of the day....

Quiet Sunday at home. TV sound off while occasionally watching Olympic events. Tomorrow Monday will gather gear for a 2-day photography road trip into Yosemite Valley at 4,000 feet, that given an exceptionally low elevation snow forecast, could receive a rare larger accumulation of snow.

Expect to camp below the snow level one night sleeping inside my Trailblazer LS during the large storm along an obscure BLM riverside campground 2.4 miles along a gravel road for just $20. Then will hopefully be able to drive into the park at dawn with the valley loop road plowed enough to drive while the weather offers some breaks in snow showers. Will be walking about with snow shoes while bundled up to the max. Working photography in snow, especially while still showery, requires is logistically difficult, especially keeping gear, clothing, and the inside of vehicles dry.

Then after returning home, will make a quick turn around to ski Tahoe 2 or 3 days.
