I'd forgotten to post here today. 🫣

It's now just after 6pm.... I've had dinner... of chicken breast in tempura batter with a broccoli & tomato salad on Taco...

I've been busy talking to various people online this afternoon..about viewing some new apartments... in places I never considered before so that's quite exciting.. Hopefully something will come of that...

I've jjust been watching a show called ''give us a clue'' which is a repeat of the show from the 80's which is a celebrity charades ..... ..and it's so sad to see most of the celebrity contestants are gone now...

Good morning peeps of SF....

It's a chilliy feel to the day today , slightly overcast..... and a little breezy... apparently the sun is going to be with us for mosst of the week tho'....which is good news because I have to go and get my cortisone injection in my hip tomorrow.

I've never had one in my hip..has anyone else ?...I'm a little concerned it's going to be as painful as the ones in my knees...

I have to book my car in for it's first MOT since I bought it... . In the uk it's illegal to drive around if we haven't paid to have our cars checked every 12 months for flaws.. and pay to have them repaired before we can drive the car again...

Have the best start to the week you can folks...🌼🌻

Actually woke up to an alarm this morning. I have to drive the 60 miles one way to get the car repaired. I am a little worried about the doggies; asked the neighbors if one of them could come let them out around noon to do their business. Someone was supposed to come by to talk about it but nobody has so I'm not sure what's going to happen. If not, there will be a mess to clean up.

I also made an appointment for a haircut with the same stylist who cut it the first time just over a year ago. She is really good. Since then, have been going to a local stylist for trims but the last one was a disaster. I will be glad to have it done right again. The car dealer has a driver who will give rides to customers whose cars are in for repair. Hooray! He will drop me off at the salon and pick me up when finished. It's in the downtown shopping area so rather than sit in a waiting room for hours, I can walk to various shops and see what the rest of the world is doing.
No spending, however. This repair is $1,400+, so the budget is a bit tight this month.

I may wear my one city outfit and a bit of makeup. I wonder if they will take a walk-in for a manicure? Hmmm...there are advantages to town living, lol. Probably not. Save the $$.

I noticed one of my rose images from last Tuesday could make a great graphic. So played around some just now in Photoshop. They are both downsized for the web as the original is 5100x3900 pixels. The first is my actual processed for being reasonably close to the natural, eyes visual experience as all my work. The second one is an intense color art version. The sky the morning was dim grey marine overcast that is out of focus as a background. Easy to select it all and that then changed into the cobalt blue pseudo version. Adjusted the inverse for a saturation level t caused an effect in my perception enjoying the intense crayon like colors.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Good morning to everyone. Yesterday we had the fire warning and two fires started in our town away from us but the smoke was strong. We went to town and they had closed off roads and evacuated people from their homes in that area. They are still burning now but more contained this morning. The evacuated people were allowed to go home last evening.

Another fire warning today, too. It is so scary that this happening but it is in a draught condition and winds are stronger, too.

I hope all of you are well and enjoy your day today. :)

Morning all, I'm a bit hoarse after attending last night's Buffalo Sabres hockey playoff game
You can read my review in the sports section
It was wonderful to be with my brother, John, nephew Jay, close friends Marcia&Dave, son Alexei, just being with them was very special. John kept kidding me "you think you can stay awake past your bedtime"{ usually in bed around 9:30-9:45pm} I did, got home at 11;30 took hot shower and went to bed exhausted but happy
On my early walk at 6:50, temp was 36 as I walked around the building once before breakfast
My plans today, write in my journal about last night, see what the lunch/dinner menu is offering today, may take another walk either mid morning or afternoon, read my book
Everybody have a great day

You ever have one of those times when three or four customer service type issues are happening and you are worried and frustrated?
Then, you get up and tackle each one and delightedly receive excellent customer service help and everything is ok and you can relax?
That's my day!
So I fixed myself a nice breakfast then I'll tackle a couple smaller ones.
This time of year every meal comes with asparagus. 🙂20260420_094957.jpg

This morning, completed HTML coding the third of 5 new pages, yet to be uploaded. The edge of a slowly moving, windy, strong Pacific storm for April, has now just entered our area. After a quick drive for cash at my bank and more groceries at Trader Joe's, am back home, expecting to code more and read a book the rest of this Monday. Car outside needs a good storm washing.

Saturday early morning at the city rose garden I've been visiting over the last couple weeks, was not as photographically productive as expected. Roses at a lot of cultivar plots went through their blooming cycles rapidly with many blooms fading, now less aesthetic. I added a few more images, including the below, positioned up against the sky, herein downsized for the web. The out of focus clouds added a surprisingly nice effect within the blue sky. May not be back this spring? Instead, next Monday 4/27, could do a road trip, overnighting a day or two along a familiar Sonoma coast park. In the mean time, a quiet week ahead. Well except for the forecast uncommon thunderstorms with lightning for tomorrow.

I've had a fairly busy morning!

Besides the usual things like exercise and walk, I finished going through all of my pictures up to 1989. They are done, in the book, and backed up on the hard drive. (NOTE: I was up to this point before, but I found more pictures at my Mom's house, so I had to start over.)

Today is laundry day, which means that it's a good day to use bleach because the dryer will pull the fumes out of the house. (both of us have a lung sensitivity to bleach fumes.) Soooo....I bleached the shower walls. It was the first time this year, it wasn't bad at all. I'm always glad to get that done, and keep up with it during the summer. Winter doesn't seem to be a problem.

I also went down my list, making phone calls to places that sometimes have kittens that need to be adopted. Once again, I just missed some. All that were left were adults. I would consider an adult if he were to be a house cat, but since our's live outside it's important that they grow up here. So I'll wait, and keep looking. Eventually the kitten who is intended for me, will become available.

I did take a break and, watched an episode of Longmire after dinner. Dishes are washed, one more room is dusted. I'm almost ready to head out for my evening walk.....

The car was finished in only three hours. I did manage to get a simple manicure, clear polish, in the nail salon next door to the hair salon. The haircut came out as I hoped. I was home by 1:30 pm. The neighbor forgot about letting the dogs out but surprisingly, there was no mess in the house and they were fine when I arrived back home. So everything worked out Just Fine.

Surprisingly, no pain anywhere today. I don't know why. Am beginning to think it is the recliner in the living room?

Took the dogs for a short walk late in the afternoon.

OMGoodness Rae! I pray the fires don't head your way and affect your personal property. I certainly feel for those who are adversely affected, however. Wildfires are such scary, tragic things. Stay safe.

How could the neighbours forget about the dogs?... that breaks my heart, even tho' there was no mess, bless their paws....

Did you mean the recliner may be causing you pain ?... I've read this recently actually

Yesterday I slept for most of the day and into the night, so I accomplished nothing. Today I had to make up for it, so loaded and ran the dishwasher twice then hand washed all of Deja's bowls and finished cleaning up the kitchen. My son stopped at Just Salad to pick up our dinner, so blessedly I didn't have to use any more dishes. I put away the few refrigerated and frozen items he brought home from Shoprite. This afternoon I had a long conversation with one of my favorite Eons-Facebook friends who has been part of our Sisterhood since the Eons days 20 years ago. I also had a nice conversation with HS#3 tonight.

Everyone have a....
