that was my problem as well so I understand totally..... but ultimately he went off with someone else.. and I divorced him... and from the proceeds I was able to financially became independant .. and now some other person is having to put up with his long silences... as well as all his other faults that I endured for almost 25 years

Good morning peeps of SF.. it's another super glorious day.... not a cloud in the sky... 🌞 🌞

I got a text this morning for someone 's dental appointment... not mine... and from a dentist in another county.. so I called them, because I didn;t want this person ''lee'' to miss out on their appt, it took ages to get through to them, and the thick accented Indian, kept asking me what's your name.. I started to get a bit suspicious... and refused to give my name.. I told them I just want you to know that the appt has been sent to the wrong number... :cautious:

Today hopefully I'm going out to do a few things, and also drop some things off at the recycle centre...

Tomorrow my car has to go in for it's annual MOT... I thought it was Friday so I'd planned around that, but a text this morning has reminded me it's tomorrow... so that's thrown my plans around a bit...

For a while, I receive a lot of mail for other people. Mostly this was because I had a fairly common internet ID, so if it was Myname @ etc, I would get email for Myname99, Myname123 etc.. Most were genuine mistakes an I received invites to parents' evenings, choir practice etc..

There were a few slightly suspicious mails, but I just ignored those. On the other extreme, one colleague who seemed to receive more than usual misdirected mail, would use a different name to send insulting replies.

Morning all, usual early walk at 6:50 temp was 52,cloudy as I walked behind a couple building driveways, then down the street towards our building went around once before breakfast
My plans today, do a little shredding,invited close friends, Marcia&Dave for lunch at 12:15. I've invited one of my new friends here, Tim&Deb to join us,they have never met M&D
The rest of my day read NYT, book,after dinner tackle today's NYT puzzle, at 8pm watch PBS show' Nature'

Good morning to everyone. We are having a sprinkle of rain this morning. It won't help but I guess better than nothing.

@CinnamonSugar my sympathy goes out to you. He sounded like a very special friend.

Hubby had his scan yesterday.
We didn't spend much time doing that.
He was dizzy afterwards,, so I drove us home.

It's been awhile since I've drove .
Feel that hubby wasn't comfortable riding with me .

Today he gets his eyes checked for new glasses.
Again,,I'll drive home, as he will have had eye drops.

This won't be as long a drive as yesterday's.

I had to live with that as well. It’s a typical tool that narcissists use to punish and control. You don’t even realize how bad it is until you get away from it.

it wasn't an email it was a text from X Indian dental surgery Croyden for the attention of Lee

No, you're right.. I knew it was bad, and I put it down to childish selfish behaviour.. it was very annoying.... but I hadn't realised just how down it got me, until he was gone and I didn't have to put up with someone doing that to me on a regualr basis in my own home.. the one place you should be happy and safe ! ..
 
It's just past 3.30pm... still glorious sunny day...but theres a really brisk breeze. altho' it's a warm breeze...🌼🌞

I drove to the recycle centre, we don't have one in our local town so it means driving down the motorway to the next town... and so I got that wood dropped off, and because it 's such a beautiful day I drove into North London to get the Superstore supermarkets... but again I was stunned at the traffic everywhere, like no-one goes to work any more.. it's just incredible.. traffic jams, long lines of cars everywhere.. :unsure:..and this between 11am.... and3pm when the roads have always been traditionally quieter

Got back just a few minutes before an Amazon delivery arrived.... so I timed that well... now I have to go out and do a quick vac of my car before I take it for it's MOT first thing tomorrow morning
 
A busy morning. I had a dental appointment and as long as I was going "downtown" I brought my bed quilts to launder in the front loader of the laundromat. Then did a little grocery shopping. I'm starting to see empty shelves again - couldn't get diet black cherry soda or Vichy. Many other shelves in the soda aisle were vacant. Then went to my friend's viewing. Since she was Eastern Orthodox, they don't do cremations. She didn't look good and you know morticians do their best to make the deceased look their best. Very sad. Later I will start setting up for the garage sale.
