Woke up to find a strange set of keys on my counter. Looked out the window and son's car was in the drive. He is tucked away in his childhood room sleeping.

This is unusual, he does come by
and sleep but normally during the week when a client cancels their early workout schedule. I don't know why he is here today. Normally when he comes by to nap he would already be gone. It is almost 1PM. I don't care except if he feels the need to escape to a world of quiet, no one to wake him from his slumber.

I remember I used to take a day off work just so I could be alone, sleep all day, get caught on things I needed to do without interruption. Everyone needs a day once in a while for self care. I just get great pleasure that he is having a break from all his hardwork and stress.

I have been gathering another batch of normal things to help them out. With gas and food prices so high they struggle. I have more personal care items. I have gotten things for the grandson as summer is almost here. I have gotten him a large amount of drinks, chips, gum.

I have not gone to the grocery store yet, I have a had a blinding migraine with the dreaded nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Have not had one this bad in a while, Woke up this morning and it seems to have gone.

I won't go today, just take a day for rest and recovery. There are some good loss leaders on meat and a few other things. I like to refill their freezer when I can.

I was lucky to get the laundry caught up last week. Change the bedding. Still need to do the floors.

Worst of all is I need to get people over here for bids to fix the hole in the hall ceiling. This is the first time I have had a project/problem of this kind. I normally don't get to upset over things. This bothers me because I don't want any critters to drop out of that hole. I have never had an animal get in my attic but I fear it now.

I wish you all well with any troubles you are dealing with, The quicker we get things taken care off, the quicker we don't have to worry and return to a simple life, at least until the next thing happens. I feel like my middle name is calamity.
I'm glad you're feeling better after that dreadful migraine attack! I know what you mean about having a hole somewhere in your house. There was an opening in the floor in the laundry room (common space) and I always feared that I'd be down there one night and a rat or snake would crawl out of it.. However, except for the pet snake (that I didn't know was a pet) that got into my apartment and scared the life outta me decades ago, I've never heard of a snake being found here in the middle of the city. Plus, after the leak in the ceiling from a leaky water pipe fiasco a couple of weeks ago, that wasn't resolved for 5 days, I feel ya.

we have snakes, squirrels and God forbid, rats. Mice, lizards, spiders do not scare me. The only thing that has gotten in the house are lizards and spiders. Trust me those lizards are fast and hard to catch.

Good Morning ! It's 6:34 a.m.

I slept in the bedroom that gets sun light early!
We put the air conditioner in our bedroom window last night.
I couldn't sleep listening to it rattle.

Have walked the dog & am eating breakfast.

Hubby still sleeping.
After he's up & had breakfast,,it will be another trip .
Once his procedure is done ,, off to another town to get his new glasses!

Hope everyone has a good day.

I’m totally exhausted. Wiped out. Yesterday about 15 screaming with happiness and excitement for hours boys.

Held in a famous Y. Gym sports then pizza and cupcakes.

My grandson was the loudest one there. He had a fantastic time. He was so happy and had so much fun! All the kids glad to be there!

So much noise making my head rattle. Had fabulous time.

Back from grandkids house for the weekend. One had a gymnastics competition and one sang at church . Both were great. I can't wait to see what the almost four-year old will be into in the coming years.
I'm getting where I don't like to be gone from the house for too long. It seems a lot to do although most is voluntary because it keeps me busy.

Morning all, on early walk at 6:45, temp was 71,felt a bit muggy ,was wearing knit shirt/ shorts as I walked up the street for 2 blocks crossed at signal light walked back down and around the building complex before breakfast.
No real plans for today, ck the lunch/dinner menu, take advantage of the sunny warm day highs today in low 80's take mid morn/afternoon walk. Tonight, watch Game 7 of Stanley Cup playoffs home team Buffalo Sabres vs. Montreal Canadiens at home.If the team wins they advance to the 3rd round to play Carolina Hurricanes. The last time they advanced was 25 yrs ago. I can't explain in words what the team has done being in the playoffs for the city, long suffering fans. Its been great no matter what happens
Everybody have a wonderful day

Afternoon all.. another grey dull day today...but it was very warm during the night.. I might have to start getting the fans out again...

I'm trying to save money this month by shopping out of my freezers, and it's been close to 3 weeks now since I shopped for groceries... but I've not had any fresh fruit, bread, or fresh milk for several days.. and altho' I've been using frozen fruit, and long life milk..I'm tired of it now. It's all very well having stacked freezers and plenty food, but I do like to have fresh fruit, and fresh milk ... so I'm thinking I will probably have to go grocery shopping tomorrow... and get my nails done at the same time...

for today I'll stay home.. and I've defrosted some pitta breads which will do me today in lieu..of fresh bread....

have the best day you can everyone..... 🌺

Morning all!!! I survived another loud, boomy nite!!! the storm woke me
about 230am, and I got very little sleep after that!!! One was so near that
the whole house shook@!!!!!! i BELIEVE WE got about 1.5 inches overnite,,,,
So I sit here with the shoulders heat pad draped across them, and really
don't know what to do yet today......just achy and sore today, hopefully
things will improve......have a good day all peeps!!!!!!;):love::coffee::devilish:

Put out another batch of free plants today. Last ones went in less than 4 hours.
Also, harvested some of my peaches. Between the hard freeze, caterpillar's, moths, grasshoppers, ants, birds, and on top of all that, a drought, I'm surprised I got this many. There's still some on the tree... hope to get them when they ripen a bit more.

Yikes, @hawkdon, that storm sounds scary! I'm glad you're OK.

We are finally getting some rain, but not as much as we need. I've never worked in agriculture, and I didn't realize until the past few days how badly this state needs rain. My hairdresser, whose family owns a cattle ranch, was mentioning it last week, as have some local friends, and I woke up on Saturday to a string of praying-hands emojis. We have gotten some, but not the soaking we apparently need. Most of the people I know here grew up on a farm and are more keenly attuned to things like droughts than I am.

It's overcast this morning and hard to get motivated. I'm dragging myself through work and need to perk up and move a little faster. More coffee, I think.

All three of my older daughter's little kids have ear infections, poor things! I remember those days! She brought them to the pediatrician wearing the Beatles pajamas I'd gotten them, and he told her the kids have a "cool grandma." 😇

I hope everyone's week is getting off to a good start.

it was noisy here too. rained all night.

Happy Monday, May 16th 18th. A little business stuff on my calendar today, not too much. Mostly purchasing and making sure my paperwork is caught up.

Also plan to scrub the showers. After breakfast, I'll prep the baking soda, peroxide, dish soap mix, slather it on and let it do its magic. (I'll also do the glass part of the oven door.)

It'll be a warm day so if I get wet I'll just towel off and invite Ozzy-dog to sit in the sunshine with me for a bit. ☀️

Hope you all make your day a good one !

What kind of shower do you have? Is it tiles or a shower surround?

I had a bad experience with baking soda and peroxide on my oven door. For about a year, it would look like baking soda coming from the interior glass.

Good morning people''s... 🌺 on this rainy morning...

I had intended going out this morning to grocery shop... and have my nails done, but I';ve stayed home because of the rain...tomorrow is forecast to be drier..so I may go then...
In the meantime I can just go and pick up a few things at the local little shop later this afternoon... I have to collect a prescription anyway...

the sun is starting to come out now, but the forecast is for rain off and on all day...

Nothing new to tell... have the best day you can....:giggle:

Morning all, on early walk at 6:45, temp was 66,cloudy with a slight breeze, not as warm as it was yesterday at this time{72} I walked across the street by signal light, continued down to end of street to local co op,bought a couple items. Its my long walk of the day took me 25 min round trip
My plans today read yesterday & today's NYT, tackle both daily crossword puzzles,ck out today's lunch/dinner menu The past couple of days didn't call in my dinner order, nothing looked appealing to me.
I hope to take a mid morning or afternoon stroll if the rain holds off
Everybody have a good day

I slept in this morning, so I'm late with everything. I'm first now having my cuppa, and I should be starting to make breakfast in about 5 minutes.

We went to the gym yesterday in order to miss today's rain, but.....we got stuck in a down pore anyway! As long the car is already filthy (that's the downside of living on a dirt road), we're going to go to the gym again today.

Besides, I have an early dental appointment tomorrow, and it is expected to be raining then, too. We're just not going to win, this week! 🙄

Well. I managed somehow by sheer luck to go out when the rain stopped, and get back just before the rain started again...

I decided I may as well just drive to the next town to the Superstore, rather than pay the high prices of the local small store, plus the supermarket has a bigger choice of fresh fruit .... and it also gave my car a run because it hasn't moved in 2 weeks... it's not far just a 14 mile round trip..... and I managed to go there, get back, stop off at the pharmacy, and home in less than an hour... and I wasn't even rushing...how good is that ?

However when i got there , they only had grapes which I know to be sharp, ... and no melon at all..so I ended up with just bananas...

Good morning to everyone. It is 72 degrees and will be 84 this afternoon. It may rain after 4:00 but we will see.

My grocery delivery today went well but the cost was much higher with some of the items. I bought peaches and strawberries with dessert cups and whipping cream to go with them. The other items were the staples that we usually get.

I have a blood test tomorrow and I hope my results are okay for the doctor next week. Yesterday a young girl waited on my at a restaurant and said, "Are you okay, today?" It made me wonder if I looked sick but I said I was okay.

Stay well everyone and enjoy your day. :)

Just another gorgeous morning hike. I saw 3 coyotes, a half dozen jack rabbits (this one posed for the picture,) 1 cotton tail rabbit,
and plenty of birds, especially on my way back to civilization. --- I am taking pictures with a small Canon pocket camera, and the
picture quality is not always good. Also, by the time I dig out the camera and focus, most of the wildlife is already gone. Roadrunners
are so fast that I never got a picture. I haven't seen a snake so far this year.

I adopted stray Rex (left) 8 months ago at age 12 months and 60 pounds; he is now getting closer to 80 pounds. Rex has become my shadow.
And I adopted stray Heidi (right) at 1 1/2 years old and starving at 43 pounds; now she weighs 68 pounds. She is older than I was told.
