A hospital doctor once asked me to rate my pain on a scale of 1-10, one being nothing and 10 being childbirth. Thought that was a very weird scale and said I'd been through far more painful ordeals and procedures than childbirth.

On his 1-10 scale, surely you would have been at a 25.

You better believe it. Even morphine couldn't dull thye pain. The worst thing, (also the best thing), was everyday after I got out of intensive care, they'd dunk me in saline and actually skin me alive. (to remove the dead skin). And, since they were checking for nerve damage, no pain medication until after.

An update from my morning post
Last week after coming back from weekly 'road trip' with friend Mary,she said'I'll call you next Weds to see if you need to go anyplace on Thurs' This morning around 9:15 I was doing the NYT's "Spelling Bee' online game{which I do every day}, phone rings. Mary said' I'm here in the parking lot waiting for you' I laughed and told her'You were going to call me today'.I won't repeat what she said, told her'you're here, lets go to Target the weather tomorrow doesn't look good' another enjoyable 'road trip' with her
