How is your summer going?

It's been lovely here. Hot and dry. Perhaps too dry, but it's been excellent weather for people to go out and enjoy themselves. And NO snow to shovel !!!

My summer has been okay. I have been indoors much of the time with the AC blasting because of the super hot and humid conditions for the past month or so. I haven't done the things I wanted this summer but there is still time. I don't like going out in the really hot weather, my AC on my car doesn't work and wow does the car get scorching hot!

Central air, iPad, martinis keep me going thru the summer and, come to think of it, the only change as the seasons change is central heat...:D

Always hot up here in Northern California, but so far we haven't gotten any nasty smoke from fires, that's nice. School just started up last week, won't be long till the leaves start dropping and football.

It's been pretty hot and humid this summer here, but I tough it out with just a fan. At least most evenings it cools off down into the 50s/60s for good sleeping temps. I'd like to live without winter, but I'd worry about how to cope if it was 110 and there was a power outage. Has that happened to any of you in the southern states?

Wicked hot and humid here in MA, so the A/C is going. Too hot to do anything outside today. It's been a really dry summer. We're in an extreme drought in my part of the state, but there have not been any water restrictions as yet.

The humidity in New Jersey is unbearable as well as the heat. I think it might be a bit cooler next week. I bought a whole watermelon this week. The inside was beautiful when I cut it,also sweet but I could taste an ever so slight bit of sourness to it. I think they are actually cooking on the vines and turning sour from all the heat.

It has been extremely hot here, though the last few days haven't been quite as bad. It has been clouding up in the afternoon, which helps a lot. Not much rain, just one really good rain and a few sprinkles. Very dry here.

WAAAY to hot to try to do anything outside, except in the early morning.

Hot - but, hey, it's Florida. Socially things do slow down a bit as the snowbirds and sunbirds are gone. But, still sufficient people around to enjoy "the good life".

Instead of 10-12 pickers and grinners, we have 4-5, changes the jam a bit but sometimes different is good and the rest will start drifting in in about two months. We have a group called "The Radio Readers" here - we re-create old time radio shows. We had a "broadcast" two weeks ago - enough "readers" and about 65 in the audience.

I'm a firm believer in the fact that it's all out there - you just have to go find it or make it.

Summer's been going well so far, it's been hot in the 90s, but we have some trees around our house that provide some shade. So just walking indoors is big difference without AC. Last week we had a couple of nice cool days, high 70s and tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 80s. Personally I'm looking forward to the fall and cooler temps, don't mind the winter snows either, very pretty and they don't stick around too long. Spring and fall are my favorite seasons.

Crap with all other concerns where did the summer go??? They say real feel temp will be up to 110...in Central Frickin' New Jersey, this is not Arizona in the 1970's, yes global warming is REAL.

Hot and very humid. Heat index well over 100, going to continue into this coming week. It's been a hot summer.

We've had a very hot summer where I am too. I usually like to go to yard sales on Saturdays but it's been so hot nobody is having any.

Around 20/21 C at the moment but may get up to 24C in the next few days ( used to be Farenheit here but went over to Centigrade when we joined the EU......... Do we get our F now I wonder?:p)

I never went over to Centigrade... I remained in Fahrenheit mode. ;) A bit cooler up here but tomorrow expected to be warmer, around 70F which is good as I'm going out with my grandson for a day's bird watching.

Spent 3 weeks of June in the US, so hot or warm there. But in Scotland we've had spells in the 70's and even into the low 80's for a few days. But mostly it's in the 60's as usual.

As for F vs C. I've had to think in celsius as well. Unless the temp is extreme I know roughly what the temp is in both F and C. 0 is 32, 10 is 50, 15 is 60, 21 is 70, 30 is 86, body temp is 37.
