How long does it take you to get ready for bed ?

About 1/2 an hour.
I shower, body lotion, body powder ( no talc )Brush teeth, floss , mouthwash.
wash face, face cream, brush hair, put night dress on. Listen to my nighttime mediation and hopefully full asleep. No caffeine after morning. I go to bed early and get up early. It rarely changes unless I’m sick or I was up all night with nightmares.

Getting ready for bed starts in the morning: make the bed and tidy the bedroom, dust and vacumn one morning week. The alarm clock was retired when I did - body clock wakes up between 6 am and 7 am daily. I always shower at bedtime for a relaxing sleep.

Crates for the dog(s) are in the bedroom - dog(s) view the crates as their den, not JAIL!! They are not allowed on the bed or furniture!! At bedtime, they get a dental chew as a bedtime snack.

Not too sure about the time. Take care of the cats, feed them and clean the litter box. Floss and brush teeth. Check alarm on work nights, like 3 times. Check the doors.

Hope one of the cats doesn't put a load in the litter box right when I'm ready to get in bed, because I'll have to clean it.

For me it' s a long yet short process...in that I'm a night owl as you all already know, but then there comes a time when I realise it's unwise to try and stay up any longer.. that culd be 1 or 2, or even 3am.. so then I take a sleeping pill.. and close the blinds, ensure the doors are all locked, and downstairs lights and electrics are off...then come up.. brush my teeth.,tie my hair up..... turn on the bedside lamp.. then come back here onto the forum until the Meds kick in which takes about 30 minutes .. and I go immediately to bed .. 🄱🄱 fortunately this is an en-suite office room.. so just through the door behind me is my bed... about 6 steps...

About 2 seconds, I say goodnight and I'm out like a light. (it's because of my sterling character or is it teflon?, that nothing troubles my sleep.)

I think it stems from working different shifts every three months and my brain being so highly developed. ;)

(edit) I have fallen asleep in the middle of a conversation before,

ooooh you are sooo lucky... my estranged O/H is just like that.. and he swears he doesn't even dream..

How I would wish to just go to sleep immediately and wake up refreshed with no dream filled sleep in between.. bliss..

Of course it may be the drug cocktail (nitrous oxide, halothane, isoflurane, desflurane, sevoflurane) my wife gives me, to have her own quite time. Ba ha ha

BTW - my dreams are vivid and in color and typically have me saving the world.
