How Long Has It Been Since You Had The Flu?

Have had bad colds, but have not had flu in, well, forever. BUT, about 8 or 9 years ago got a bad case of pneumonia fir the first time in my life. Awful.
 

Never got the flu over the years, and never got the flu shot, until I got the high dose flu shot when I turned 65. I was very sick for about a month after that shot. Never again, as my auto immune issues can't handle it.

I do strongly believe in the two pneumonia vaccines for over age 65 though.
 

I used to get the flu (fever, chills) back when I was working and among people. After retiring and becoming almost a recluse I haven't had any for at least 10 years. I never had the shot and don't want to take it, have always hated taking drugs of any kind.

Bad colds, runny noses, etc., and all that ordinary stuff going around has nothing to do with influenza, and the shots do not protect against colds, etc. They just protect against influenza, which is a specific set of diseases.

Thankyou butterfly.....but i still wouldnt have any jabs ...
 
I cannot remember when I last had the flu' dont get colds hardly --and no way would I have a jab for it...
 
I don't remember exactly when, but it was decades ago when I was still taking the flu shot. I refused to get the flu shot a long time ago and since then I haven't had the flu or even a bad cold. Colds are very rare thankfully, I try to keep my immune system strong with supplements and practice good hygiene like washing hands and using wipes on shopping carts at the supermarket.

I don't do the flu shots, but would consider the pneumonia vaccine now that I'm over 65.
