How many forum members have you met in person ?? Where to meet forum members ??

I have met LOADS of forum members..none from this forum... but many from previous British forums... we've been as a group for dinner, and for lunch. We've met at seaside location and had the day to enjoy as a group...

I've attended Rock concerts with some members

I have to say probably 90 % of everyone I've met of whom I;d chatted for quite a time previously, were very different to how they come across online....not always for the good...

Yep ... good and bad. Was a member of a dog breed forum and met several members at registry sanctioned events. Wasn't always a good thing ;)
 
Well on this topic, is there anyone living very close to New Westminster, BC who would like to get together? I'm female. I'm looking for woman friends only, sorry men, nothing against you , just looking to chat with women. I don't drive by the way. I'm almost 70 years old, married, retired ( worked as support staff at educational institutions) and we have a kitty. I'm only comfortable with meeting during daytime. And if this is not allowed admin., I understand if you delete.

You're the same age as me what a shame you live so far away...I would've been delighted to meet up with you..
 
I lost mine over 10 years ago, then met my present online on a forum. Yea, we married, I happy again!
Certain days are harder than others. I tend to go quiet on those special days. Is it good for everyone.
Maybe, maybe not. Choice of inventing your future is yours, is a best belief I think.

oh don't think for one minute that people who meet up are all extroverts, far from it.. but after chatting for a while, years in some cases ..those who are normally shy or introverted feel safe within the group...or a one-to-one...
 
There was one woman who would come to our group gatherings.. she was a Vet ( veterinary surgeon)... and she was very quiet, so at lunch she would always sit next to me, and she felt fine just chatting one on one with me.. and really enjoyed herself...

Another woman who came to some of the group meets had made a good friend online, and she would only come if the other woman came and she would sit next to her and let her do all the talking, but she enjoyed the company...
