To get to a web page or someone on a phone?

More and more I have to deal with call routing and gateways to web pages. Some websites won't grant access unless given a lot of personal info.

Yeah, I hear ya! And everyone wants us to download their app on our phone. It gets to be too much for us senior folks... At least most of us.

I agree with you too, debodun, I was offered a month's
free trial on YouTube Premium, I accepted and I was
asked for email etc., which they already know as I have
had an account with them since the 90s, then they asked
for a Card Number, that is when I scrubbed the idea.

Not free if they don't trust me.

Ya know, It really does feel like everything requires jumping through layers now days.
Calls, logins, apps, permissions ... just to do one simple thing.

Apologies if this sounds smug, I have never given profilers ammunition to build my profile. You would think that I am just about the most popular person on the internet, given the e-mails, messages and postal contact that would-be companies, determined to profile me, do all they can to amass my internet usage.
Keep trying profilers, forget the credit, debit and loyalty cards, I never use them.

and, just when i learn how to log in, copy, paste, verify info in MY Own MEDICAL RECORDS they change the format and now i need more info to get in!
