The Oscar's were just so - so this year. I found the hip-hop number hilarious because there was such a division between young and mature. The young were swaying and bopping in ecstasy, while the older sat stiffly in their seats: "what the heck is this doing in the Oscars?" But that's typical, isn't it. My Father-in-Law hated the Beatles and Elvis. One thing that annoyed me was when one of the stars once again used his Oscar to get preachy about the cause dear to his heart. I couldn't tell you what it was all about because he became nervous and tongue tied half way through.The cause might be just and something I could wholeheartedly support but the Oscars shouldn't be used as a political platform!
