How Many Scam Calls Do You Get Per Day.

How many scam calls or irritating sales calls do you estimate you get per day. Or text messages.

Oy! You picked the right day to ask that question. We've been inundated by robo calls several times, each and every day. It really gets annoying after about the 4th call in a row

Generally none.. on either my landline or mobile phones.. I rarely ever get spam calls or texts... , on the very odd occasion I do get a spam call it goes directly to my screening blocking system on my landline..and on my mobile phone I don't reply to unknown numbers, and as soon as they hang up I 'block' the number .. so they can't call again..

In truth I've probably had 3 spam calls or texts in the last 18 months!

I haven't counted, probably a half dozen tho it seems like fewer lately. Sometimes I answer and chat if it is a real person, usually wind up donating.

We get at least 3 or 4 a day. I put a call blocker on our landline last Fall, and it has blocked nearly 1000 numbers. However, they still call, using different numbers....we've even had a couple showing our own number on the caller ID. If the phone rings, and we don't recognize the number on the ID, we let it go to "leave a message"....which never happens, then I add the number to our blocker.

Our landline is disconnected because it is only used if our home alarm goes off (and it is always me causing it) so after the alarm goes off I plug in the phone and give them my code. So, no spam calls on our landline.

I guess I am lucky because I get very few spam calls on my cell phone, although I did get two today. I always have my ringer off so I just block the calls after they come in. Anyone who wants to urgently get in touch with me sends me a text.

4-5 per day.
And, the landline # is registered with the National Do Not Call registry...
which "is a joke"..they get around it.
Cell phone is rarely on..so not there. Thank goodness.
I'm careful who I give my cell ph# to.

i was just joking with my son in law about this ....
told him with the amount of times his phone rang last saturday that " spam risk " must be his pet name for girlfriend....
as soon as I said this i too got many calls from SPAM .... it is contagious.

I used to get quite a few per day until I started using RoboKiller. If a spam call comes in, it's analyzed and then rejected without any effort from me. I have the app set to silence spam calls so I don't even hear the phone ring when they come in. Now texts are a bit different. I do get a number of those but they go straight to my JUNK folder and I delete them every few days.

Since I set up an answerphone, they seemed to have stopped. At first, they rang at different times of the day, but since I have stopped answering, they've given up. Genuine callers leave a message.

Our most common nuisance caller is our phone provider. This happens every couple of months. They don’t like it when I answer; I like to imagine the nasty names they call me after I take a strip off them.

Same here, we might have had the odd one get through. My landline number is ex-directory, meaning it's not listed. There is a drawback to that though, if I were to phone Holly, her phone would read: "Number withheld," and she wouldn't answer it. But being ex-directory keeps the scammers away.

Yes you're partly right HC... altho' my number is ex directory, if you had my number and rang it would go through to my screening process on my landline, which would tell you when you are connected, to state your name .. this end the phone is telling me HC is calling you would you like to accept the call, I press No..and it just lets it go to answer phone, and you the caller has no idea that I was home and refused your call. .. or I say yes and pick up

we moved our land line to a cell, now I don't answer any calls unless there is a name attached. if it is someone I do not know they can leave a message, than I might add them to my contacts.

I don't have a landline. I get hardly any spam calls, and when I do, I block the numbers. I never answer the calls.
