How much outdated electronics do you have around the house?

Any man hasn't really lived unless they have a box full of wires/ plugs/ electrical cords/ somewhere in the basement that will never be used.

And could anyone for the life of them figure out how to stop that flashing red 12:00pm sign on their VCR's?

:) lol, it's okay, I'm used to it. All the big heavy shards of broken mirrors and the collapsed ceiling and upended furniture etc. are in rooms I don't urgently need. Around here it's first things first, top priority rules the roost , but with plenty of time for fun.

I still have the first new computer I built in 2000. Still runs, I crank it up every so often, if I'm in a nostalgic mood.
I still have my TI99/4A and Commodore C64 computers in the attic. I had so much fun with those I can't bare to part with them. I also have the monitor and floppy drive for the C64. The last time I hooked up the C64 it still worked and ran the early version of flight simulator.

I actually have two C64's. The first one died and I bought the second one in the new style case. I've kept them both.

I have 6 large boxes of cables that I gave away a few months ago to a kid collecting scrap to take to the scrapyard. I showed him how to strip the insulation off of the wires and then sell the copper wiring by itself. I guessed he would get a few pounds of copper from it. I will ask him when I get back home on Monday.
Today here in Toronto, number one bright clear copper is worth $4.55 a pound. That makes collecting copper wire and pipes a useful hobby. JimB.

Space & clutter is my wife's issue. I've never been one to save items for sake of saving. Lived next door to a hoarder for years, he would gather up anything I discarded. Put it at the end of the driveway & would disappear within 2 hours. I did have a couple of monitors once but found they were someone else's treasure, not mine. I have a laptop, Kindle tablet & a smart phone. Got rid of my useless cable box when we moved. Goodwill is a handy disposal site. Worked in the tech field for over 50 years, de-cluttering is a must.

Tell my husband that please. 😊
SIL was a mission critical specialist for HP, His wife relates that when he passed she cleaned out their rented storage bay (now un-rented) that they had for 8 years. Counted numerous electronic parts including 11 monitors,,,etc. Kept nothing & missed nothing.
