How much TV do you watch?

I now use my tv for more than just watching movies or a series. In the morning I listen to Dan Gibson Solitudes. Later on I listen to spiritual stuff but in other rooms. At night I either watch a movie or something expected. Last night I watched the voice. The singers this season ā€˜are off the charts’ good.

I’m now home bound though. šŸ˜’

I only ever watch TV in the evenings. I usually switch on about 6pm or 7pm.
At the moment they're repeating Downton Abbey again, so I'm watching that again to relax to. 😊
I looked forward to watching a good meaty film at 9pm, but those days seem to have 'gone out the window'..... it's just one repeat after another that I've seen before, before, before... ā˜¹ļø

We have a television, and it is connected to an antenna, so all we have are the local stations here. We hardly ever even turn the TV on unless there is a possible tornado, or other bad weather forecast, and then we watch the news channel to follow what is happening on the radar.
Both my husband and myself have our iPads, and if we do watch any news or other programs, we do it that way.

I much prefer to read, and in the evening , I usually either knit (in the winter) or just read a book. In the summer, we have more daylight, and I am outside a lot, but still enjoy reading in the evenings.

I love the people, who say they don't watch TV- they just stream Netflicks, movies, murder mysteries, long historical sagas, sports, cooking videos, sewing videos, travel videos, cat videos, how to videos, but they don't watch any TV.

Just reviewed all posts to this point. Only ONE forum member essentially related that. Many specifically explained the nature of limited tv they do watch. That noted, it would be somewhat true if one was referring to the general public. The reason most would blurt that out is because what they are really meaning is that "They no longer pay for expensive CABLE TV services and instead watch TV in other ways."

For years now there have been news media stories describing the declining consumers and revenues of greedy cable tv services. Those that decided to stop those services may often tersely spout "they don't watch any TV." What the cable service telecoms have increasingly done to compensate that loss of revenue is jack up Internet use fees since they have a monopoly on telecom plumbing.
