How much was your last electric bill?

My condo electric bill was around $120, but I assume I saved a bit by virtue of having other apartment units on a couple sides of me and over me.
How many square feet do you have in your house, did you have cold weather, do you have high ceilings, are your windows insulated and well caulked around them? My house in Nebraska cost a lot to heat and cool, mostly due to air leaking around windows. I was thrilled that a big hail storm got me new windows and siding (and roof), but then I sold the house so I didn't get to find out how it affected the electric bill.

Around $47.00 for electricity. I could lower the bill if it wasn't so dreary out so the lights are on from afternoon.

The house is heated with gas. Your bill seems very high unless you have electric heat?

My apartment is all electric and since I live in a HUD subsidized apartment building my electric is covered by the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). When I check the new bill it doesn't really tell me what it is every month just how much money I have left from HEAP. I haven't had to pay a bill since I moved in.

Now my son's apartment is electric also but his landlord pays for the heat. So he pays an electric bill himself and is quite wasteful so not cutting down on anything. He is on the budget and pays $50. a month. His apartment is only two rooms but big rooms.

You're lucky you don't live in the UK. Our electricity bill (excludes heating - it's oil) will be around £120 / $150 a month when government subsidy ends next month. No mains gas here, so cooking is electric. Virtually no domestic A/C in the UK - it's rarely warm enough.

$56.08 last month, and about the same the previous month. .. no gas here, total electric living
.... in the summer put a 1 in front of that 5 when the A/C runs non-stop.

Our house is total electric. We see a peak in the electric bills during the Summer heat and Winter cold. On a yearly average, it comes out to perhaps $175/month....not too bad for 2400 sq. ft. We belong to a rural electric Co-op which usually keeps the rate to about 7.5 cents per KWH.

I live in an all-electric apartment. Heat is paid by landlord. I have to "plug in" my car in the winter.

Last month's bill was CAD 45. In the summer it's about CAD 20. Higher in winter because of lights, and block heater for car.

I got this months bill from Pacific Gas & Electric. No payment due. I get that once or twice a year because I'm a great user or whatever.
