How observant are you when watching movies of television shows?

Seems I am not very observant.
Watching the excellent series, The Alienist, The main character is Dr Laszlo Kreizler.
Here I am, halfway through episode 4 when it is pointed out that the Dr has a Lame Arm.
Only after my realising this, then taking note of said arm, is it obvious that the arm dangles uselessly by his side at all times.

I'm pretty good at picking up continuity goofs in movies and shows. It's almost a hobby. Now, of course, you can back it up and crow, "Yep, I was right! He WAS wearing black shoes and now he's in white sneakers."

My niece worked for a while in Hollywood and also in Oregon as a set dresser and a set property manager. When there was a break, she had to take photos of everything and everyone so that it would all be "right" for the one session.

Once, they were taking a break and she realized that the burrito in the original scene had a bite taken out of it and the new one that a set dresser had put out was whole. She had to immediately take a bite out of the new one to make it match the previous scene.

The director was a tyrant about details and if she wanted to continue working with him, she needed to be vigilant.

There are many non compliant continuity issues one can observe in films. Those responsible seem to have no one overseeing them?

I would say very observant. I like Jimmy Kimmel, Soccer, independent news, and a lot of "amateur" reels on Facebook. I try to act like I am there taking it all in. I love the diversion it affords me. I do learn things from video's also...so that takes some concentration, if I want just entertainment I like the Match Game, Family Feud, Wheel, the old western series like Bonanza, Rifleman, Fester and Marshall Dillion. Them I don't concentrate much on.
