How often do you buy new clothes?

When did I buy new clothes??? Back in my teens probably. Unless you count fancy undies, they are too so clothes.

Seriously though, I buy at the thrift store or make my own. Amazing what you can do with a full length dress or skirt with yards of material to make something new.

I do buy shoes and purses new always.

I do so envy people like you Lee who are adept at creating your own clothing and styles...I have tried so many times even at school, but I just don't have that type of arty brain...
 
This last month I've bought 3 new blouses.. ready for winter with 3/4 sleeves...2 are identical because I like it so much I'd be upset if it got damaged ..and of course I won't find another like it once this season is over....so to be on the safe side I got 2 the same..

I also got a pair of Pink Levi's trainers...

Anytime I find something on the clearance rack at Tractor Supply that fits and seems like something I'd wear I get it. Too much of it ends up going to Goodwill or the like. However I do not spend a lot of money. Tractor Supply ain't Nieman Marcus...

well I have no clue as to who or what Nieman Marcus is...but I suspect it's a high end store or brand....:D

I'm with you, almost all of my clothing gets donated ultimately, some sooner than others, so whatever I buy get a lot of wear from more than just me , and I'm very kind on clothing so all of my donations are things which are still like new but either don't fit so well now or the purpose for them no longer exists
 
I very rarely buy any new clothing. Perhaps once a year I might buy another pair of jeans, but only to replace that which has worn out. Once a year I buy a big pack of briefs and a bigger pack of socks. Once a year I buy a few new T-shirts.
Shoes ? I only wear tennis shoes and flip flops.
I never understood clothes horses.
 
I mostly wear t-shirts year round. I have a lot of them, mostly souvenirs. Our kids have given me a lot also. My daughter found one that has a "British Leyland" logo on it because I had worked for that company for 24 years. I found one online that has the ocean liner "Leviathan" on it. My father served on it as a machinist in the 1920s, before there were airliners.
I still have some neckties, but it is some years since I have worn one. My shoes are mostly loafers that I can step into.
