How often do you go to the hairdresser?

It has be over 25 years since I visited a Barber.
I have curly hair so giving myself an all over "Number 1" is simple
Buy my own clippers for AU$15 originally. Replaced twice, last one costing AU$29.
Have saved many hundreds of dollars "Doing it Myself"

Yeah, the lockdowns took me out of that routine. Just before that I'd already gone to the "clippers all over" and so it was no big deal to buy my own to do that.

I've been our household hair dresser for over 30 years now. Having been in attendance at the regular visits to the barber (for Papa) and the hair design school (for Mother), have studied what was being done.

Wanting the perfect hairstyle for my wedding day, paid an atrocious amount of money and ended up having the worst possible afro perm. I swore never to do that ever again.

After all these years, still can't look at my wedding pictures and just blubber...

BTW though: I find it challenging to manage the ears and back of my neck properly.

However, I've not been in a long while. My hair is long! inches below my ears, five inches at the back. Disgraceful.

I've taken to combing it back and hoping for the best. The best is achieved by not looking in a mirror.

a fine job on my hair. No more barbershop for me.

I go to Super Cuts 2-3 times a yr. I have naturally curly hair,I get it cut really short in the summer months. I recently went last month probably go again in March

I haven't been to a beauty parlor in years. I learned with much trial and error to cut my own hair since I'm certainly not going to be in any beauty pageants. And if I make a mistake, it will eventually grow out. I think I do an adequate job. Someone took my picture at the senior Christmas party a few years ago just after I did mine. I'll let you be the judge.

same here. when the pandemic hit i got a wahl and have been doing my own haircuts for 4 yrs now.

they make a razor blade comb you can use to clean up the back.

I stopped going. I couldn't find anyone I liked after the lady I did like moved away.

I cut my own hair and since it has natural curl, it hides mistakes and I can tune it up a few days later.
