How old are things you have that you consider above average age for similar items?

Well, doesn't that just beat all. Folks were so hospitable back then. To think of offering food for the family that buys the freezer is just so friendly like.

Can you imagine getting free food in your freezer today?? People would be calling the FDA or CDC to check it for tampering, expired expiration dates, etc.

My dryer is 42 years old !!!!! We only replaced the belt once and it still works perfect . Now it's at the point I don't want a new one - I want to see how long this will last .

That`s exactly how I was feeling about my car! 14 years old and 265,000+ miles on it. But we could tell he was getting a little tired and didn`t want to get stuck-that car never, ever once let me down. Only thing we ever had to do repair-wise a few months ago was an alternator ($103.00) and even then it just gave me warnings and didn`t not start! But yeah,I really wanted to see just how long it would go.
