How old is your clothes?

I have lots of new stuff but also some old classic pieces. I look for clothes that are timeless and well made, that I will be able to wear for years. Some things I wear are twenty years old. Like you say, some of my clothes can vote. :ROFLMAO:

today's clothing is tissue paper thin. lucky if it holds up for a couple washes.

I have to say that I never had a subscription to "GQ" ( Gentlemen's Quarterly). But I was watching an old episode of the 1980s of "Cheers", and I was still wearing my 1980s shirts. I'm no clothes horse, but most of my clothes can vote. How old is your clothes?
By old, I'm guessing that you mean length of ownership. My clothes are mostly handmade and appear old, I have a very talented wife. My shirts all have a style reminiscent of the fashions worn between the first and second world war. So too do my suits and blazers. I still wear wide bottomed trousers with a turned up hem. For casual I have a collection of Aloha shirts. My shoes are all two tone, spectator style and I wear fedora hats.

42 dress shirts, 56 various color t-shirts (thats all I wear year round now that I'm retired), 26 dress pants, 10 pairs of jeans, 12 suits.
At least I stopped buying dress/office clothes last year.
Ya, I got to thin out the wardrobe....

My clothes aren’t old, they’re vintage! That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. Fortunately, men’s fashions don’t seem to change as often or as much as women’s, so if I wear clothes from ten, twenty, or more years ago, no one will give a second glance. My Nehru jacket and leisure suits are long gone, however, and good riddance to them! 😸

I have a beautiful tweed coat and a swing style jacket which are probably my oldest items. I look after my clothes so they are both in great condition and people always ask where I bought them and, of course, I say "it's vintage" :)
