How old were you when you realize others thought too?

How old were when you became aware that the people around you also had thoughts.
I was about ten.

How did the knowledge effect the way you dealt with those around you?
I realized that they were judging me as I was them. :magnify:

Probably pretty young, around 3 years old. I knew what my mother was thinking when I was misbehaving. She didn't have to say a word, just gave me the old "evil-eye", and I stopped what I was doing pretty quickly.

It made me sensitive to other peoples feelings, even at a young age. I can tell when somebody was thinking of something sad, etc.

From the minute I was born I was aware. I remember the nurse looking down at me in my canvas sided cot in the maternity home in 1950.
