I have seen similar lists about Arizona. I have a picture of a skeleton leaning against a cactus with the caption "it's a dry heat".

Went to Florida to take the son to Disney. I called it "Theme Park Hell". This was in September. I am sure many collapse in June, July and August.

The Florida State Fair is in February.

I was asked why they'd have a state fair in winter.

Answer: if they had it in July or August like most other states, there wouldn't be enough ambulances in the south to transport all the heatstroke victims to the hospital.

No word of a lie, about 5 years ago I went to Bourke in mid-summer (To my fellow Aussie, Yes I know I'm an idiot.)
Anyway, my hotel was across the road from Diggers (RSL) I decided to go for lunch, By the time I got across the road the rubber soles on my shoes turned liquid.
When I got there, they had a heap of Thongs (flip-flops) next to the door for people to use and a bin for all the melted shoes.
Never ever again.
