How to beat the virus

By itself, this is not enough but the spirit that is demonstrated here is what is necessary. This woman has been prepared to devoted hours of her time sewing masks to give away free. She is doing what she can to help. If we all had the same approach we would not only defeat the virus, we would become part of a united, caring community. Many people are like this woman. They watch out for their neighbours, see that they are OK during a lockdown and co-operate with health authorities without complaint, even when to do so is very tiresome.

To Valerie , and those who are like her, I salute you all.

My cousin, Sue, in Massachusetts has also been sewing and donating masks for months. My niece, Jennifer, in NJ has a small organic farm and has been delivering free organic meals to NY & NJ hospital workers since late spring.

Many have stepped up to help in whatever way they can. I salute Valerie, Sue & Jennifer and others like them for their creative, generous spirits.
