How to clean in back and under this radiator?

Bad location for a radiator - behind the kitchen sink and next to the stove. Very difficult to reach - too close to everything - there only about 3 inches between the radiator and the sink. I can see myself trying to reach in there, getting stuck and nobody here to pull me out. It is really dusty in there. I did run a yardstick under it and pulled out some broken glass and a few utensils that have probably been under it for decades.

About the only practical....and safe...way to clean such an area would be to use an extension tube/wand on a vacuum cleaner to reach into that area. Of course, that would only help remove any loose dust/dirt, or small objects that have fallen....and do nothing to clean up the built up stains that appear to be covering the radiator and walls/floor. You might, however, be able to clean up the "scuz" that appears to be covering the cabinet next to the radiator.

I'll say what nobody else will say. Judging from the outright filth on the cupboards/walls in this and other pictures you've posted from your kitchen (and your bathroom...remember the toilet?), why would you be one bit disturbed by what might be under the radiator? Your time would be better spent using Mr. Clean or Fantastik or Fabuloso, a bucket of hot water, and some elbow grease on the kitchen and bath.

When I clean my radiators I use a brush specially made for cleaning under refrigerators. I take off the handle, straighten out a wire hanger, and duct tape it to the brush. That way you have a pliable brush that is long enough and will bend as you work your way through the whole radiator. It still takes time but it's the cheapest best thing I've found to do the job.

The radiator in my bathroom had accumulated years of dog hair and baby powder(my husband was a body powder freak). Cleaning it felt much like an archaeological dig.
