How to get rid of junk mail in Outlook email?

I have 866 items in junk mail. Although there is a notice that "junk mail will be deleted after 10 days," that never happens. How can I easily delete all of these emails or get Outlook to actually delete them in 10 days?

You may have to do it on your main device. At the top of your junk mail folder you should see somewhere to right click and empty folder. Or look for something at top that says "clean up".
Sorry, my computer is not up. I'm on my tablet and can't do any changes to mail or calendar or see where to do changes on this device.

Look for something that little green trash symbol in your deleted file. Click on that and it should ask if you wanna empty the entire thing.

Try Yahoo mail. I very rarely get junk mail.

In your Junk Folder, select Edit, then Delete All. It should be on the top left.

I'm sorry I misread that. Mine has an Empty Junk Mail button.

Before you do any deleting, always check that none of your good stuff ended in there by accident. Grrr. I’ve had emails that I’ve received and read for years and all of a sudden Outlook decides it belongs in Junk. Move it to your Inbox and then blow those scammers to smithereens.

Too bad Outlook doesn’t have an auto block function. Select All and block any of the scammers in the list.

I just did this on my phone not 10 minutes ago. It's pretty easy actually.
Choose your Junk mail folder, then click on row of dots in upper right, choose Select All, then click on "permanently delete."

That's a large number but sometimes I find it easier to delete email from my iPad. Just tap away and delete at bottom

It's easier to delete email from the iPhone too, much quicker than on the computer.

Right click the folder name, and select EMPTY FOLDER.
